Instead of painting my current valance(a bit rough)..

I could hack up a bumper cover from a mustang, so the paint would be good match, and they are cheap.. Plan to leave enough cover on top to make tabs that would bolt to my chrome bumper.. hopefully the paint wont chip to bad..

i think that valance would look good if a little more was taken off the sides to lift the back sides up, or a white edge valance

IMO I would just get an STX front end, seen one on a 98 and it looked great!

 

x2 on the STX Idea. Looks cool but I think the 01-03 edge valance looks the best. But do whatever makes you happy man!

As mentioned before, the Ranger would need side skirts to match. Like the STX valance, it looks good, but not by itself on the truck. Side skirts and rear bumper skirt are needed.

 

I will wait for an edge valance.. might be a while..

I'm on the fence with this idea. I really like how your truck looks now, but that bumper looks pretty cool too, but think it may be a little over the top. Maybe do a cowl hood with it?

However, I think the best bet is a white Edge bumper. That would really clean up your truck and you wouldn't have the potential rice factor.

I hate the STX and Thunderbolt bumpers. They're too big and bulky. They hang down like a snow plow and doesn't match the sides or back.

After looking at it more, it's the white valance that finishes off your truck. Get a white Edge valance and call it a day. It'll look just right.
