Leave it on. I had mine off for a while because I broke it and it did look taller but the truck looks cleaner with it on.

that free hand paint is freakin badass crazymikey!!! i wanted to buy a skid plate but i sill wanted to be able to put my valence on,the only reason i take it off is when i go trail riding

lol thanks,it took like 2 minutes. as for the angled parts on it, they would be angled in towards the truck and not hang down flat like your stock valance.

If you do enough offroading with your truck,then maybe it is worth building your own tube bumper and skid plate. It's really not that difficult if you have access to the tools.
