Like 6 bucks a can.. I have had it on my grill for about 6 months with no peeling and i know someone else who has used it for multiple years with no peeling. What do you plan on puting it on. I might try it on my wheels soon.

since when has it become difficult to go to a hardware store and look at a label on a shelf? lol

It holds up well. I have plastidip on my wheels and have gotten stuck spinning all 4 tires and not even a scratch was visible on the dip. Just starting to get snowfall here and im glad the wheels are dipped. I wont have to polish them again in the spring when i peel it off.

I wish i would have done that with my Bajas. Breaking out the steel wool and polish always sucks after a long winter.

I heard from some guys that they used adhesion promoter for the plastidip to stick really well.

^ That doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't you just paint it? Plasti dip is meant to be removable. If you use adhesion promoter, and then somehow peel off the plasti, you will have that permanent film from the adhesion promoter.

You don't need adhesion promoter at all. Plasti dip will say until you peel it off. It won't peel off in its own.

Agreed. I don't want it to stay on forever. Just the winter time

Did my wheels 6 months ago, no issues. Didn't do anything special just made sure they were clean and dry. I sprayed lots of light coats and used a whole can on each wheel. Even did the top of the raised portion of my hood.

I've seen it used on loads of motorcycles and was going to dip my last bike in it. From what I've seen, thick coats can pretty effectively cover small dents and dings and will fill in scratches on their own. I don't know if those properties are specific to a brand, but I've seen it do some amazing things.

I plan on bondo-ing the little bit of damage on the Ranger I just bought and will be plastidipping the whole thing come summer.

If you plastidip your entire truck, please never post a picture on here. Or mention it again. If you truly care about your truck, you would use an actual paint. If you still choose to do so, please consider joining Ford Ranger Forum - Forums for Ford Ranger enthusiasts!
