Castrol syntech is the one oil that u would recommend to every one. I change oil every day at work an castrol is the only oil that doesn't seem to break down like others look almost like you just put in in

One reason I posted this. I used to use Valvoline, but switched to Castrol.

Yes, for dino oil, but I've never used synthetic before. I used to Valvo all the time until I started noticing a drop in performance about a year or so ago. Times change and so does quality some times. Word on the street was go Castrol at the time. They were right.

ya i had Pensoil in my truck an when i changed it. It looked like i was about 3000 over but i was about 1000 under. That is when i changed to just regular castrol was strapped for money at the time. I checked the oil the other day an it still looked new an i have about 1000 miles on it

There is no BEST oil. Different oils work differently for different applications. That being said, Mobil 1 5w-30 has been proven to be an excellent performer in the Ford 4.0 SOHC engine, proven by many UOA's (used oil analysis). So has Pennzoil Platinum, and Amsoil for that matter. I use Mobil 1, based on past experience, availability, and UOA information. If you really want to make an informed decision, than check out this site...

You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about motor oil! And I recommend that you use Motorcraft oil filters!

I voted mobil-1, but that's all i use. Wix filters are the only choice imo, cut open a fram or motorcraft filter then do the same to a wix filter, you'll see what i'm talking about.

I voted Mobil 1. Sorry but you can't just look at oil and say it's good or bad you need a UOA to tell. This is from hot, dusty, dirty, sitting in traffic Phoenix.

YUP! That's what Scamsoil's website says!! They also lie and deceive about their API certification (only 2 are API certified, PCO, and XL)!! And on top of that, you pay a highly inflated price
for their products because of the MLM pyramid structure that puts money in so many people's pocket

I'm at 20,000 on a single Mobil 1 5w30 Extended Performance (Guaranteed to go 15,000) and the truck is still getting the same gas mileage and running at the same temp. I'll be changing it soon to see what it looks like. I've used both Mobil 1 and Castrol and I like Mobil a lot more. I'm in the Supra community as well and Amsoil and Mobil are the two biggest used. Royal Purple is a pretty good oil as well.

I've used about every brand under the sun in mine and I will NEVER buy Royal Purple ($10/Qt!!!), Quaker State or plain oil ever again!

I do love my Mobil 1 10W30 and filter... about 25 bucks at most stores.

On another note has anyone used the High mileage Full synthetic Mobil 1???

The issue there is all you and where you choose to buy. I never paid more than $5.59 a quart for 5w30 or 10w30 Royal Purple.

Bob that's one thing I will agree with you on.
