Getting ready to pull the 2.9 and a4ld out of my 90 B2 to start my 5.0 swap.

This is the quietest and best running 2.9 I have ever seen!! Period. I stand behind this motor 100%. I have replaced tons of stuff since I got it. Just off the top of my head it has new {all within past year} water pump,cap,rotor,plugs,wires,valvecover gaskets,oil pan{rusted}, oil pump{might as well},alt,belts,hoses,powersteering pump.....When I replaced the rusted and leaking oil pan and valvecover gaskets I found the inside of this motor spotless.I only did the oil pump because I had the pan off and figured might as well for a few bucks more. Truck has 60psi cold and 25psi hot in gear of oil pressure going by a real gauge.Never smokes or uses any oil. I have put lots of miles on this truck on long trips and it has never missed a beat. Actual mileage is unknown at this point but rest assured its a great motor! I have drove this thing from Mi to ZABEARDS house and all over the lower half of Michigan with no worries.

Trans was a fresh rebuild when I got it a few years ago and still shifts hard and great. However, on wheeling trips or long drives once it gets some heat in it the front pump seal starts to drip.I have a big cooler with its own electric fan to help keep it cool.

Pulling out in the next few days so if you wanna hear it or drive it you better hurry!! There are a few members here that can vouch for it being a solid drivetrain as well.
