7.5" Rearend Cover - New Orleans
I am looking for a cheap 7.5" rearend cover. Basically what i need it for is to prep and paint and when i remove mine from the truck i will prep and paint it and send "mine" back to you. I just cant be without my truck for the amount of time its going to take to prep and paint the one on the truck. Anybody have one they are willing to part with for a few weeks?

Sure, I have an extra one you can have. It's rusty and pitted on the outside but it is structurally sound and holds fluid.
I'll see if it will fit in a $12 flat rate priority box and you can have it for cost of shipping. |
Will bead blasting it and painting it make it look new again or are the pits to deep?
Wayne |
Ehhhh, yeah they are pretty deep. 10 years of Ohio salt.
How does yours look? You could put mine on your axle while you prep and paint yours if it is good. You can get a new one from Tasca for $40. http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocato...layCatalogid=0 |
Mine looks pretty good i just don't want to have to fill the rear end twice ya know.

I feel yeah on that. I have to pull the cover on my new Level II 8.8 again to replace my bent shaft and the 75W-140 for it is $55 a fill. Plus it's a pain in the a$$. The price at Tasca is ok, but it will be brand spankin' new.

Yep, i get employee pricing at Ford and it still cost me 17 a quart!

I get Valvoline Full Synthetic 75W-140 Gear Oil for $13.99 a quart at NAPA.
You don't use that on your 7.5 inch anyway, I believe you should be running 80W-90 or something like that. That only runs like $7.99 a quart. |
Yeah, thats what i use 80W-90

its not a pain in the ass to fill. just pull the abs sensor out. no problems even with a gallon

Put a low ball offer on one on ebay. We shall see...

Nope, didnt get it.
