Manual Transfer case for my '04 - NC

So im doing the manual transfer case swap. Hoping to find one locally.

Im currently speaking to a member about a t-case, but shipping would probably kill me haha.

Let me know what you guys have.

Thanks.

Well I just made the decision the other day to do the swap. Im not going to be able to search the yards for a while now.

New job and all. Maybe I will be able to this weekend. We will see.

I saw some rangers at the local yard, but none of them above mid 90s. Im also not sure if any of them were 4x4 either.

Im not planning on a suspension lift. I will go straight into an SAS, but slowly.

So....im looking for a BW1354 and possibly a front driveshaft from a 95-96 expo? Somebody correct/help me if im wrong.

I spoke with another member about the linkage adapter. So im tying to get this thing off the ground.

Your right about the driveshaft. Go read Bob's 5.0 Swap thread, the first couple pages he talks about putting a manual transfercase in, and the linkage adapter.

You might be able to ship it really cheaply via grayhound bus. Shipping is probably cheaper than you think as well. I had my 8.8 shipped to me from Cali and it was $149 delivered. I can give you the site if you'd like so you can get a quote if you can't find one locally.

8.8*

The website is uship.com and it's kind of like an eBay of shipping. You fill out some info and then it posts an ad for you that shipping companies see and bid on for a few days. It also will give you instant quotes, but they're usually really really high. Mine was some random company, but it came via an Esties 18 wheeler. I don't remember weather or not Donny had to drop it off at their distribution hub or not, but he did have to build a crappy pallet for it and use some ratchet straps to secure it. Also you're gonna have to figure out what freight class that it would fall under before you make the ad. I searched on Google and found info on Pirate.
