i put in a shorty console today.

the only good pieces left from my full length console are the bracket and the lid/armrest.

the armrest is wrapped in black tweed. very nice.

i'd like 25 shipped for that.

i see sh!tty ones on ebay go for 30+ dollars.

bracket is 10 bucks shipped just because its a bit of a bulky item.

The shorty console that came in certain Explorers from 99-02 had an arm rest that hangs above the console. The arm rest is vinyled foam on a plastic mount. When you put any type of weight on the armrest it would crack the plastic shell. Rockauto.com sells a "fix it" kit for $40 that replaces the plastic shell with a metal one. This also happened to earlier gray Explorer shorty consoles that had a cloth arm rest. There is no fix for those.
