Looking for stock body bolts and rear bumper bracket '99 ranger

i think i am getting a body lifted ranger and it has to be removed. so i was wondering if anyone has the bolts left over and rear bumper brackets laying around from there body lift install, i think that's all i need anyway.....or am i wrong

ATOM 08-05-2009 09:53 PM

wvcat 08-05-2009 10:00 PM

I'm sure I have some, just have to dig them out.

Bumpncarstereo 08-07-2009 10:18 AM

i should have some tomorrow.

ATOM 08-16-2009 03:47 PM

ttt anyone?

littlered 08-16-2009 05:35 PM

Sorry i have bolts but they are sh*ty and cant be used again or i would have put them back on. but what are you going to do with the body lift?

ATOM 08-16-2009 05:59 PM

sell it

DisturbedESV 08-16-2009 06:06 PM

Why don't you pull a bolt from the bed and go to a hardware store and buy the same bolt but 3" shorter?? Seems like it'd be easier and cheaper at this point...

ATOM 08-16-2009 06:16 PM

i don't wanna to use nuts and bolts on it, that's kinda ghetto IMO, i will have to on the front 2 body bushings, but i would rather not use bolts on the whole thing, i will buy all new oem ones if i have too. i just thought someone has them leaying around i can snag for cheap.

thanks for your worthless post. they want 6 bucks a piece for bolts at the implement, might as well buy new oems one. thanks for being a smart ass though, our local ACE hardware don't sell anything close. fastenal wants just as much for bolts, so i am screwed either way.

I'm more than happy to be a smartass to someone who called my truck ghetto... which does NOT have Ford bolts on it as those are sitting in a box in my garage

aww boo hoo, but you edited your post, why's that tough guy? I believe in using oem stuff, sorry, and i don't believe in using plastic spacers between my body and frame so i can fit bigger tires, guess i ain't cheap. furthermore, i didn't call no one's truck ghetto, if you have a body lift, obviously you need longer bolts, mine is coming off and want the original bolts.

Haha... I edited my post 'cause I decided my comment was pointless... but since you wanna drag it out we can... and you said using non-OEM bolts was ghetto... hence everyone with that set-up (aka like 50% of the active members on the site) is also ghetto... mmk tough girl??

Ford04Ranger4.0 08-16-2009 08:29 PM

You cant find these bolts in a J/y near you?

ATOM 08-16-2009 08:30 PM

They are rusted tight and the last 2 boxes we took off, we just ended up snapping all the bolts off and buying new ones

Ford04Ranger4.0 08-16-2009 08:36 PM

oh try ebay maybe or even craigslist?

ATOM 08-16-2009 08:42 PM

I am just gonna order new ones from tasca in the morning

Fx4wannabe01 08-16-2009 09:48 PM

Dude...Aaron.....obviously since you are very very picky, why not just go to the dealership and get raped on the price of bolts. Go for it. It's either that or freakin' junkyard with a hand torch and a 1/2" drive ratchet(HAHAHA good freakin' luck). You think bolts are ghetto??? HMMM.....lets see.....factory uses M12x1.75(or 1.50)x ?? long grade 8.8 bolts. HMMMM....PA uses M12x1.75x?? grade 8.8 bolts.....hardware stores carry the same stuff, and hardware store have grade 10.9(aka equivilent to grade 8 in std sizes). What is it that you don't like? The look of a hex head and a washer??? You just looooooove the torx heads? And if you're so picky, why didn't you keep your bolts in the lift was put on?

hmmm...I guess 75% of the population here are ghetto...

ATOM 08-16-2009 10:05 PM

i am buying the truck used, i would never put a body lift on any truck intentionally (i hate seeing frame, up here you just see pure rust, not so pleasant). i don't mean ghetto as a bad thing, i mean i don't want to put just any bolts back in it, the box ones especially, the cab ones you can't see anyways. we don't have a good hardware store that carries anything close, only a farm implement, and for 6 bucks a piece i might as well order oem ones, then i know they are right.
