Good luck making a Taurus or Mark VIII fan fit in front of the 5.0. You're looking at 5~6" inches of fan/shroud and about 3~4" of clearance.

Installing an E-fan is not impossible but the factory Taurus and Mark VIII units will not simply drop in due to their large size and the limited room in front of the 5.0.

A dual fan setup from some other donor might be a good option because it would not put the deepest part of the assembly right in line with the water pump pulley like a single larger fan usually does. There also are more compact, single aftermarket fans that can be squeezed in but they are not capable of matching the ~4000 CFM of the largest Ford fans.

I have an 18" Mark VIII E-fan modded to fit (barely) but it wasn't easy. The shroud has been shortened about an inch and the radiator has been lowered and moved forward under the rad support.
