Just as the title states... I have a like new chrome Kobalt (made by Better Built) low profile toolbox looking to trade for a black diamond plate box. I can't seem to find anyone who stocks the black ones near me so I figured I would try this.

 

Why not paint or rock guard yours?

Mainly because I don't know how well it would hold up after painting it. I would probably need to go with gloss to match the truck or the way they look from the factory. I might have to research rock guard, I haven't seen that!

 

just powder coat it

not many companies make the lo pro boxes in black

 

If I'm not mistaken, Delta makes a black low-pro.
