1999 Explorer

Here in a few weeks at the most I'm going to have a 99 Explorer I'm going to be getting rid of. I've been using it for my v8 swap. Body is in perfect condition. No rust anywhere. It's not going to have the motor, tranny, transfer case and all that good stuff obviously. Won't have front seats, center console, or the rear axle. I think I've named off everything. It would make a good project truck for a rock crawler or even a trail rig. Just wanting to see if anyone is interested. Thanks! Oh yea... I'm located in Ohio.

you should part some of it out.. i need some parts

99rngr 04-07-2010 11:47 AM

Well what all are you going to need? My biggest thing is that I don't want to be stuck with a explorer thats even more tore apart.

01RangerEdge 04-07-2010 11:49 AM

lol All the parts I would want you already took

99rngr 04-07-2010 02:07 PM

Haha yea. I have a feeling everyone is gonna want the parts that i took off already.

Just sell it to a salvage yard. The parts you have taken off are the biggest strengths in the explorer.

99rngr 04-07-2010 07:25 PM

Yea I was thinking about doing that too. But I know a salvage yard would only give me like a few hundred bucks though.

i need front suspention stuff. so probably a no-go for ya

99rngr 04-08-2010 05:24 PM

Well if I sell it to a salvage yard I'll let you know about the front suspension. What all would you want?

ranger024x4 04-09-2010 11:28 AM

upper control arms if they are in good shape (with ball joints) and t-bars

99rngr 04-09-2010 07:20 PM

Well everything on this truck is basicaly in perfect condition. But I'll let you know if I'm going to part it out or not though.
