Dang 15k with 42k miles, really?

I picked my 04 Reg Cab 4x4 loaded up for 7500 with 39k miles.

It's a super clean truck though, probably a lease. I didn't see where it said 4.0 but I know they brought that option back in 06 or 07

Oh ok. There are a couple guys on here that have 4.0 4x4s in reg cabs. It was a much more common option up in Canada.

Engine codes in the VIN are the 8th digit.

E in the VIN means 4.0L

U means 3.0L

for the 4 Cylinder.... well... nobody cares so why bother?

I looked for 8 months for a truck like that (in good shape and a manual) and trust me it's like trying to find a needle in Texas.

Ya! That's why you special order it! haha. Too bad 08 was the last model year you could build a cool truck. :(

I'd ***** a pic of the truck I found, but for some reason my computer wont respond/read my microSD.

just not for me. i love the me some supercab! i may not have seats back there or doors, but i have alot more room now to keep stuff and to recline the seat back when i want. That is one thing i dont miss about my 94' Ranger. I bet that thing will haul (acceleration) w/o the extra weight

I'd still probably rather have a 2wd coilspring 4.0 reg cab short bed 5spd tho. Probably keep hangin' right there with a Dakota r/t too!

I wish I would've found that truck before I bought mine in that configuration but with the auto... At least I only paid $7000 for mine with 56,000 miles.. Not "15k with 42k miles"

Shane, you sure you can't get those pictures up of it for us to check out??

I had the Ford guy search the southeast for an 06 like mine and had no luck. Out came the Ford ordering form and bout 4 months later in came mine. It had 5 miles and cost me round 22k. The only thing that wasn't right was I had ordered 4.10's and they put in 3.73's. I can tell ya that it is pretty damn quick with 31's and not too sluggish with 33's. Had some D-bag in a 93-97 Crown Vic race me one night and he had no chance from a stand still. Hopefully this coming year i'll be able to get an EE kit and give it a little more boost.
