Torsion bar keys (MI)

i dont need to hear how bad keys are for everything blah blah and that they will ruin everything...looking for a set for cheap to experiment with...not the stock or "pre key" ones but some of the lift ones that everyone hates

FullTilt02 02-02-2010 03:03 PM

i dont see why every one hates them. havent noticed any change in my trucks front end at all.. they are a pain in the A** to put in though..

Toreador4x4 02-02-2010 03:22 PM

well i have already had mine off when i put the bars in, itll take me 20 mins tops to install them...im gonna max them today how they are and see what i get out of them

TrePaul86 02-02-2010 03:33 PM

I wanna see what you're up to Justin... lol

FullTilt02 02-02-2010 06:17 PM

Redneckstone 02-02-2010 07:53 PM

0RangerEdge2 02-03-2010 05:58 PM

There is a set on their way to your house. Expect them in 4-10. Seriously.

Toreador4x4 02-03-2010 09:32 PM

tyler...you are the man...i cant wait to get them and be the guinea pig...thank you budday!

Seb_L 02-03-2010 10:47 PM

Jesse (Cooke15) is running them and hasn't had any problems, is yours a DD

EricRanger 02-03-2010 10:57 PM

ive had mine sence 07-08ish and no problems! they are a b*tch to put in. the flange where you clamp on the puller bent on my truck so i had to use a chain over that cross member. Hope you dont have any problems i wanna see how high you can go sence our trucks are basically gonna be the same set up.

just make sure you get an alignment... and i don't think that's a point anyone would argue...

Seb_L 02-03-2010 11:01 PM

silverstreak4x4 02-04-2010 12:20 AM

It's not that hard. More time consuming than anything. Search on here. I think there may be a how-to.

04_Bledge 02-05-2010 06:40 PM

I also wanna see that go down. Count me in.

time consuming... **** we did t-bar swap on my truck in 28 min flat for both bars.. i dont see it being much different

GI_JO_NATHAN 02-05-2010 09:23 PM

Really comes down to having the right tools, and disconnecting the shocks helps too. I have mine maxed out already it's fine, but I do need longer shocks.

Toreador4x4 02-05-2010 10:06 PM

as zach said THIS IS NO BIG DEAL. if it takes more than an hour to install both, somethings wrong. you need a 10mm socket, 13mm socket, 2 jaw puller and an air hammer or normal hammer. you guys are over thinking it
