well ****, i have a hp d30 thats setup for coils.

it just lacks axle shafts.

I might have to cancel plans to do the SAS because both my step dad and mom lost their jobs this week already. I think I need to help them out first.

Got my "new" Explorer 8.8 (already setup for a spring over) last weekend. I would say it is a safe bet you can guess what truck this came out of...








Look at those prutty 4.56 gears


I am getting the parts to convert this axle to disc brakes this weekend Bye bye drums!

remove center pin, push in the axle.. pull out the c-clip, remove axle

edit do not touch the s-spring that thing is a ***** to reinstall

yea i knew that part, but I can't find the c-clip in there...

I am going to be running c-clip eliminators...

its in there. remove the center pin and push in the axle and boop it will fall out..

removing the cross pin is where I was hung up at....

small bolt rotate the axle to find it. remove that then the center pin will push out..

yea i knew that.....now I just have to find a set of c-clip eliminators for an Explorer 8.8 w/ disc brakes. All the ones I find are for a Fox body with drum brakes...

I don't want to take a chance on them. They are worth the $ to just get rid of them while the axle is open....
