I would definitely get a D35 and 8.8 from an Explorer before you lift it. You may be able to find a set with 4.10's. I woulld run a 33x10.50 tire too instead of a 32, but that's just personal preference.

An Explorer interior might look really good in that thing as well.

Hopefully I have a 31 spline 8.8 already setup for a Ranger coming soon.....lifting isn't too much priority now, just getting it drive right (new transmission) is high up there....and then the interior...

I have a d28 with 4.10s, with a fairly new rebuild sitting in my garage..

it would get you rolling with your 8.8 and 4.10s untill you get a d35

the Dana 28 that is already installed in the truck has 4.10's in it......the BII came factory with 4.10 gears

alright.....wheel choices.....i am getting 5 wheels so I can mount a spare on the spare rack....

I am surprisingly gonna go with the black, I think the chrome would look funny with the tan.

lifted97ranger if your intrested I have some 4'' lift coils for a ranger/bronco II with the TTB style suspension that I am trying to get rid of, If your intrested just pm me.

it was, and is my goal......i saved a $1000 back to spend on it...

Those wheels in chrome look uber cheap to me for some reason. Go with the black.
