So I bought a 2004 ranger for 650 bucks and she is hurt. I need a new bed, axle and a bunch of other stuff but once done I'm hoping to have the Ranger I've always wanted (besides the fact of having a 3.SLOW in her). So this weekend I'm getting a flareside bed (has a styleside) I'm going from a 7.5 axle to a 8.8 either from an expo or ranger figure that out tomorrow and if I'm feeling like fabbing all that up. Then getting the 03 front bumper and the 08 Sport STX grille and one fender and a few other things. And this weekend I order all the headlights and HID kits and the exhaust and intake and programmer so next week should be a good week well thats it so far but ill be posting pics once everything gets in and ****. Can't wait to drive her

 

cool. i cant wait to see how it goes. so is it a salvage title? how bad was its accident, im guessing by parts being replaced it was t-boned?

Did you ever find out about the stx grilles?

 

No its a clean title the guy who I bought it from had PLPD on it and it was way to much for him to get it fixed so I picked it up. And its not to bad hit in the bed and the front. The way the rear was hit the bed shifted and tore the bed floor up plus i was going to go flareside anyways. and still nothing on the STX grille. My old man has been dragging his feet at his work. im hoping to know something within the next week or so

Yeah just money to fix it but she'll be pretty cool when I'm done or at least original. Since I'm going with an 03 Edge Front bumper an 08 STX grille on an 04. I've never seen that combo and im doing the 06 taillight mod too

 

Update...

So I'm having one hell of a time finding an 03 Edge front bumper so I'm going with the 04 Edge bumper Front and Rear and I'm getting a 8.8 rear end with a 3.73 limited slip and 10" brakes. (Big upgrade from the 7.5 with 9" brakes) and getting the bed this weekend so this will be a cool grand dropped this weekend. I'll take pics and stuff this weekend and post them

Well busy weekend for me. Got the front end off the right fender. The beds gone and the cab is shifted back to where it is suppose to be. Also took a good amount of the interior out too

Yeah well just went to go to my bed and the used auto yard that had the bed said it was in good condition. Well he lied it. The tail gate wouldn't even close. Like what the hell don't tell anyone that its in good condition when its not. So just a heads up to anyone in Michigan do not go to Big Mike's Used Auto Parts. They suck

 

Well I got my bed today! And the crazy part is it's a flareside bed from a 93-00 and the tailgate has not a spec of rust on it SCORE and got it for 300 bucks

 

Big day today. Prepping frame for P.O.R. 15. And pulling the dents out of my cab. And the big thing, I'm going to gett my flareside bed. So I'll have pics up soon

 

So got my bed home. I prepped my frame (the whole thing) I wire brushed the whole frame. Removed the Ford emblem from the tailgate. Fixed the corner of the cab where the bed hit it. Painted the whole frame with P.O.R.15 but the downside to that is I got the paint on me and now my skin is stained black. But other then that the frame is all painted and rust free. Also fixed the hood and got that straight. And got all my front brakes off and all prepped to put new ones on.

 

Sounds like good progress!

Well today was a good day! I just got the 16s off the Sport Trac with like new tires for 450$ (gotta love craigslist) Put the interior back in and the new rear end is in and painted that with por15. Got both quarter panels of the flareside bed prepped and sanded down. Painted the cab and hood. The whole front end is done besides the fact i still cant find a front edge bumper and still trying to find the rear but not a big deal there. Got my OHC this week will be in sometime in the summer or spring truck looks amazing! I wanna drive it so damn bad! Getting a new windshield this weekend or the one after
