Wish I could say they're mine but my friend did them. The guy who built the crawler in the earlier pics is helping me out big time.

I'm learning a lot from him.

Finished the radius arms today.

Going to have to rethink my steering. XJ steering won't work with my steering box being on the outside of the frame rail. Also the tie rod hits the trac bar bolt on the axle which doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, looks like I've got some searching to do

Ran into another problem, since I recessed the buckets into the frame notch I can't use an outside the frame rail steering box.

I found a Cherokee steering box local that we're going to try

Can you notch the steering box into the frame to offset the problem? Just thinking out loud.

The notch would be pretty substantial, more than I'm comfortable with, found a 94 Cherokee steering box local for $75.

We'll try that tomorrow, we also got the Cherokee steering shaft in case it will work.

Pretty much. We found out that a 99-04 Grand Cherokee steering box is basically an inside the frame rail version of the 4runner box I had.

What makes it nicer is that it doesn't have a splined input shaft, so making a steering shaft will be that much easier.

I should have pics tomorrow

TWSS

Things are looking good! I really like the frame notching idea. Ready to see this thing in action!

It's mocked into place now and it fits.

Tight, but it fits. I'll get pictures tomorrow (not working on it today) but the lower radiator hose is the only thing in the way (we removed the radiator to get more room to work)

I wish I could take more pics, the guy helping me isn't one to stop or take breaks. I take whatever chance I get to grab pics before we're back to work lol

Steering box is mocked up, it's a tight fit, but it clears everything currently.

The only unknown is the lower radiator hose, we'll deal with that when we get to it

This is the 99-04 Grand Cherokee box

Looks good! Always wish I would have mounted the box in the frame. That should handle quite a bit better.

Steering box is in place and it looks like the radiator hose won't cause a problem.

Also you can see the offset TRE's I had to use, the Ballistic cover is too tall for the stock setup.

I was waiting for new pictures!

I like how he made your links and mounts. All looks great so far! I bet it really helps to have someone with the general knowledge.
