Painted the frame Saturday. I pulled it out of the garage this morning and started on #24. I unhooked everything I could while it was out side and them pulled it in the garage and went for it...pics anyone?....lol

I'm not sure but its a nice Florida frame if anybody needs one, and the trans is good.

I know you guys like updates so here's what I have done. First thing I bolted down the cab. Then I swapped the under hood harness and ABS motor/controller(?) I have been down this road before, when swapping to 4wd most 4wd's have 4wabs and most 2wd's have rabs. If you alter the lines to use the rabs, you have a hard time finding a 4x4 gem for rabs (#14 has 2 gems, one for the 4wd and the other for the rabs/speedo signal). Anyway under the hood is pretty much done other than a couple minor details and a good cleaning. Next I pulled the dash and swapped the dash harness. 2wd trucks do not have 4wd wiring and the wires for the 4wabs. Next I have to pull the drivers seat and replace the harness that goes down to the frame and transfer case..stay tuned...lol

So John, you took an 04 frame and put the 2000 body on it with an 04 front end?
The reason I'm asking is I am going to be looking for an ext cab 4X4 soon, I want to do it on the cheap so I am looking into what will work with what. I like the 04 front end, I also plan on running at least 33's on the 4X4 though. I am buying a 98 single cab from my Son it is 4 cyl 5 spd, I will use it for a DD while I'm looking for a 4X4. My Daughter and her Husband are buying my 04 silverado, nice truck but I won't take it in the woods when my Son and I go hunting and fishing. So that is the reason for me wanting a 4X4 ranger.

Yeah #14 was wrecked in the front when I got it. I had a 2004 edge 2wd frame I put it on with the 2000 drivetrain. I also upgraded to the 04 front end because I had to get parts anyway and I knew I was going to keep it for a while. The truck is from Florida and is completely rust free. Last December I converted it to 4wd. You can find good deals if you don't get in a hurry. Watch craigslist for one with a bad motor or trans. Its alot easier if it already has 4wd.
