Thanks for the update John ... It looks like you're moving right along. IMO I think the primer/sealer actually looks better than the Harvest Gold that was on there. (No offence to all the gold Ranger owners out there, I think HG has it's place)

I agree I like HG, but it is one of those colors that doesn't always work. However in some cases it can work really well.

Looking good!

Do you not mask off the undercarriage and engine compartment from overspray? What are you doing for all the door sills, engine compartment, etc.? Are those areas staying Harvest Gold?

The door jams are being painted Vista Blue too and most of the Harvest Gold in the engine compartment (basically the firewall) is gonna be painted black like the new core support.
It's a lot more work changing to a different color but I thought I should go ahead and do it right the first time. The last year for Harvest Gold was 2003. Ford switched to Arizona Beige in 2004 and all the Rangers that are Arizona Beige all have the flat black bumpers and grilles like you see on the XLs. It seems like you couldn't even order a Arizona Beige Ranger with the chrome appearance package. (Does anyone know more about this?)

Yeah, it is a lot more work, but it's worth it. It would look odd and unfinished if you don't paint everything as it should be. Paint and body work isn't easy, which is why those in the field usually get paid big bucks.

Yeah it's the right way to do it, but it's an extra step...here's a teaser. Hopefully by this evening it will be all blue but I have something to do this morning.

It's the main reason why I didn't paint my 07 black. Just too much work to gut the interior, and under the hood for the time frame I had.

Anyway, work looks great. Keep up the updates!
