I would kill for a garage with a lift in it! haha Right now the truck is just sitting in the driveway slowly getting torn apart. The old man next door probably thinks I'm crazy.

And I'm going to ship the corners to you in the same box lol

Here's today's haul! Projector retrofits from Mike, G2 diff cover and 4.56 gears, 06 power mirrors with ready-to-paint caps (just need to get some E4), and a new headlight switch since the light went out in the old one.

Called 2 upholstery shops about getting my seats redone. One is supposed to get back with me in the morning and the other said it'd be about $450 PER SEAT!! I'm hoping the other shop has better news tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about these things. Does that price sound reasonable, or do I just not know what I'm getting into?

I'm getting to it as fast as I can. Long hours at work are cutting into truck time! Trust me, I don't like it all sitting around either! Diff cover and gears will get taken to the shop tomorrow, and I should hopefully be able to pick up the finished tranny and rear end next week. Motor will be also get picked up then, but it's going to AMS Racing to get rebuilt before it can go in.

Not in a rush to install the projectors yet since the header panel will have to come off during the swap, but everything else will be making it's way back on the truck soon

I thought one of those boxes said "pringle" not fragile with a quick glance lol.

Stocking up on mods is always fun. I remember having a stack of stuff waiting for me to buy a truck and install everything on this 2nd red truck I now have.

Sick nasty my friend. Looking forward to this build.

Now before I go and buy a donor exploder myself, are the power seats a direct swap? Same with the console and OHC, are those a direct swap? And do you know about power mirrors and windows? Thanks

Thanks bud.

Answers to your questions: yes, yes, yes (all 3 require some modification but it's not much as long as you can muster up the nuts to cut your headliner lol), don't know, and probably not

Seats

Full-Length Console

OHC

Not sure about the mirrors since I'm swapping to 06 Ranger mirrors. I don't think any windows would swap over. I doubt they're the same size.

I'm way too impatient to have all this stuff sitting here uninstalled. On the bright side, every day feels like Christmas when I get home lol

Haha if I can find the parts, I'm going to do an 04+ front end swap. Gotta keep the brotherhood updated lol

Lol I know. My truck came with a warranty and I kept saying I wouldn't void it. 1 month went by and I lifted the truck by myself and said **** it haha.

If you do end up swapping the front end, get an STX grille! I have the p/n somewhere if you ever wanted it.

Haha I would've done the same thing. I never had a warranty to void on mine. The Fusion has one, but it's not nearly as easy to work on compared to the Ranger so it'll stay as-is. That's one reason why I'll keep the Ranger til it gets stolen or parked in a river.

Yeah, go ahead and give me the p/n for it and whatever else I need lol It should just be the header panel, grille, and valence, right? Then I have to convince myself it's a good idea to hack up my perfectly good powerdome

Ouch! That's just for the grille? I hope I can find one cheaper than that!

Edit: Wait, is that $400 or $1100? Either one is expensive, but at first glance I thought it was $1100.

Either way 400 or 1100 for a grille!? it better come with some burgers on it and a 24/7 waitress too. You oughta be able to find a used one for 1/10th of that

I'd like to agree with you, but STX grilles are pretty hard to find. Most people that have one want to hold onto it. I'd either get one from an STX or go with a painted H-Bar grille, but the STX would be my top choice because not only would it look (.) (.) it's also something not everyone has.

lol thats a huge mark up. 260 range is more accurate. Still expensive but not out of the ballpark.

Found it for about $260 online, but don't want to publicly give out the resource.... I'll PM anyone that wants it though.

Just got this pic from the guy that has the Explorer. He says I can come pick up the engine whenever I'm ready! Unfortunately, I'm heading out of town in the morning and won't be back til Sunday, so I won't be able to get it and have someone working on the engine til next week. He should be done with the tranny and rear end soon!

YES IT IS! lol Things are moving along which really gets me excited. I finished pulling all of the interior plastic out yesterday. Going to try to get it all painted tonight and do the dash next week. Also need to retint the back windows and install some Hushmat (or equivalent) while all the plastic is out.

Which would y'all recommend for sound deadening material? Just want some bang for the buck kinda stuff to improve over stock, not really looking to go crazy with it. I still want to be able to hear the engine roar, which I'm sure won't be a problem

As far as the front end swap goes, would I also need to change out the valence, or no? They look identical minus the fog lights. That would leave just the grille, header panel, and a hood mod, right?
