It feels so awesome! I'm going to start the data logging process tomorrow so that MPT can get my tune dialed in. Once that's taken care of, I want to get it to a dyno to see what kind of numbers it produces. Only problem is I have to drive a minimum of 3.5 hours to get to anything other than just an engine dyno.

Couple more videos I took before I went home. I actually just got home and have to be up in 4 hours, but it's definitely worth the 8 hours I put in at the shop today.

This is standing outside the truck about 8 feet behind on the passenger side.

This is inside the cab with the doors shut. All of the others inside the cab were with the driver side door open. I wanted to test out the MurderMat. Also keep in mind I have nothing put back in the interior except a seat and the vinyl floor. No radio, gauge cluster, door panels, etc. It does an excellent job so far!

My exhaust "setup" (temporary of course). Stock pipes with 1 cat on each side and "exiting" next to the front of the driveshaft lol

That sounds so good! So jealous. Makes me want to put a 5.0 in mine, but I'll probably do the full size mod in 2-3 years so kinda pointless.

Thanks man!

I sorta did the "full size mod" when I bought the Fusion, but there was no way I was going to get rid of the Ranger. It's paid off, insurance is pretty cheap, and I've always wanted to make it into a project.

Justin, I think it'd be worth the 3.5 hour drive to run it on a dyno that way you can see your power/torque graphs and mess with the tune to get those numbers where you want them.

Thanks! I'm ready to hear it with the Spintech on it now!

There really isn't much left to do in the grand scheme of things to make it road-ready:

Hook up all the brake lines
Locate driveshaft and GEM, and hook them up. If this can't be done soon, I'll get new ones. Just trying to save money by going the JY route.
Take it home!
Put interior back together
Wire up my new lights
Get windshield replaced (Safelite can do this at my house so I don't eat up time on a weekend)
Exhaust
Get windows tinted, remote start, and radio installed (will all be done at the same place)
Inspection sticker
Destroy Chevys and other wannabes all over town

I'm definitely going to get it to a dyno once I have MPT dial their tune in and get it set up so I can drive it there. I have too much into this project to not know the real numbers. I could use a long weekend this summer anyway

My guy at the shop just called to let me know the CELs I had are already fixed. He took the MAF off and found that one of the wires had been broken off, so he got a new MAF, and the shift solenoid code was just a wire he put in the wrong pin.

Just got off the phone with my guy at the shop. He found the driveshaft I need! It's coming from a 99 Expedition.

I should be able to pick it up this week and trailer it to the exhaust shop. Then it's back to my house for the interior and the finishing touches!

I didn't ask him what the exact length of the driveshaft was from center to center, but I know we were looking for something around 67.5". I'll get an exact measurement and more details about the "donor" when I go up there if you'd like to know what it is.

Just thought I'd document the info I got from briefly hijacking Josh's thread earlier. We had located a GEM module that I incorrectly assumed I needed, and we're having trouble figuring out what to do with the wiring. Luckily Win informed me that I didn't even need one since the VSS on a 98 is sufficient.

He tested the truck out by putting it up on the lift and running it in drive. The speedometer worked just fine. Not sure why we didn't think to just do that earlier. So I'm out $30 on a GEM module, but I can live with that since the truck is running like it should.

So with that being said, I'm planning to (and should be able to) pick the truck up on Tuesday! I'm not going to risk driving it home since it has no exhaust and an expired inspection sticker, but I may drive a few laps around the neighborhood once I get it back home. Everyone drives their side-by-sides around the neighborhood here so I might as well drive my truck!

Good to hear its got a date to be brought home Justin. Took him long enough though, right? How much does he owe you for everything?

Yeah it took awhile, but it was mostly just a matter of getting him to get started on it and being committed. Once he got working, it was a whole lot easier to deal with. I can put up with a lot for how cheap the labor is, though. He doesn't owe me anything, but I still owe him a little money. We'll settle up when I go get the truck this week.

The Beast (or Clifford as my fiancÚ likes to call it) is finally home and in my driveway!!!!

Now it's time for me to get back to work! I have a few things going on this weekend, but I'm going to get as much done as I can. I don't think it's much of a reach to say it'll be fully road ready in a month. I'll get a video of me taking it around the neighborhood soon.

To be honest, I'm really not sure. I didn't notice it when I went out to pick it up today. I'll have to check it out tomorrow to make sure. With all the swapping going on and it hanging on the lift, it wouldn't surprise me if it had a little camber. It drove fine when I took at around the block earlier though.
