Thanks guys. The weather was too nice today to not got for a cruise so I took another quick video. I wasn't all the way in WOT but I still got up to around 65-70 before the end of the video.

Also stopped for gas while I was out. I noticed this guy at another pump eyeballing my truck while I was filling up. When I started it up I heard him say to the guy in his truck "Holy chit! Wasn't expecting that!"

Got my "final" revision of the tune for my truck from MPT installed today, and it's a huge difference compared to my first tune. Idles great with a perfect lope, feels great at cruising speeds, and runs like a scalded dog when I want to get on it If you're in the market for some custom tuning with a SCT tuner, give MPT a look. Mike was very easy to work with and did a great job.

I also went to my parents' house today to get all the things I haven't put on the truck yet (light bar, center console, grille, and flares). The new house and wedding put everything on the back burner for awhile, but I'm about to get back in the garage this week and finish it up. Fortunately, everything at this point is cosmetic (until I get around to lifting it again ).

Sweet.. I never realized how much a tuner makes a difference until I got the one in the 250. Now I'm looking at getting one for the Ranger.

I used to have a Superchips for the Ranger when it had the 3.0, but it just had generic tunes. It helped a little, but I mostly used it just for calibrating the speedometer for the tires and gears. Dewey has it now

Custom tuning will help more than the cookie cutter tunes though, even on a stock Ranger. There's a very noticeable difference from my first tune to this one.

I tried and tried at the beginning of the year to get Fred from Rogue Performance to take my money for custom tunes.. I guess he didn't need it as he refused to write me back. I read about MPT but saw some bad reviews so I second guessed myself and never ended up getting one.

Yeah, I've heard that Fred hasn't been as available as he used to be. Why, I don't know. I'm sure the Ranger tuning market isn't as strong as it used to be. Maybe he's focusing on other things.

I honestly can't say a bad thing about MPT, and neither can my friend with the Mustang in the video I posted. He's the one that recommended them to me. I got new tune revisions no later than 2 business days after I sent them a datalog, and sometimes I got it the next day. They exceeded my expectations as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to get a tuner but my priorities with the ranger are in a different area right now.. And I need to finish up school. I hate putting things on hold lol

So do I.

My windows crapped out on me again. At this point I'm thinking about just running all new wire for them.

Probably not a bad idea. With all the money you have dumped into it you might as well have everything working properly.

Yeah, the windows are something that has to work right. With the windows stuck down like they are now, I don't want to take it out anywhere unless I'm just driving around and going back home.

Thanks!

I got the driver window to work last night, but still nothing on the passenger side. I'm also blowing the window safety fuse (20A) in the fuse panel under the hood, so I guess there's a short somewhere. When I get some time I'm going to start replacing wires.

Finally got a little time last night to work on the truck. Got the fog lights, subwoofers, and passenger seat all working now.

I still need to run the wires for the passenger window and install a few small things like the center console and visors, but I'm glad that I'm just tying up loose ends at this point.

I don't have the Rigids yet. I sold the first set I bought, just haven't pulled the trigger on the DOT ones yet.

The ones I got working the other day were the factory fog lights. Just a minor connection issue. Took it apart, cleaned, and reconnected.

I wish it was already done lol

I'm starting to put money back for it so that I can do it around the first of the year, but it may have to wait til I get my tax returns. They should be pretty big next year.

I'm leaning towards the BTF kit. I've kicked around the idea of long travel, but it's a much bigger investment than I really want to make right now. Maybe I'll change my mind by then.
