yea the bfg10.5's look really narrow, i may get a set of 33 general grabber red labels during the summer time, we'll see. Right now im waiting on a word from camburg and BCST for prices of the up front parts... Im really wanting the camburg coils and BTF arms, but its gotta make sense money wise ya know??? other then that, not alot has gone on. Still planning on a slightly wider rear axle (1" per side) some time later in the month.

Will most likely be installing fatmat in the cab to get rid of any noises from wind, the truck is VERY loud right now inside. also trying to come up with a front bumper idea i like, but havent found one yet. i want a closed up prerunner bumper, i hate open tube, and blocked radiator...

The new leaf pack consists like this:

64 main
64 secondary
ranger main no ends
ranger secondary
ranger final
no overload

It give's one sweet ride, a nice bit of lift, and a great arch. cant stand flat leafs.

pics anyone?

I was just looking at that right before I read your post. I agree. It looks kinda out of place. Just the lines of both. Interested in how you might make it look different. Or mold it so they look like it was meant to be like that.

im going to go tube bumper. I dont like to take ideas, but there only so much you can do with a ranger pre-runner bumper. so its going to look alot like this:

Found the idea on ---, making it my own obviously, but very similar. now to find a welder and tubing to use to build it...

Some recent pics of the truck at work today.

Bed flare:

3M tape:

----------

The more i look at it, the more i want bedsides Hahaha. too bad all said and done would be near a grand!

I want to hear your thoughts on this...

Im planning for the 2.5 coils, wasnt planning on much out back. who thinks this is gonna look weird with 33's and that much space in the wheel arch?

thats the only thing thats holding me back right now... well that and the fact i want bedsides lol.

Another question... should i just throw on some bedsides to match the front and leave the height alone for a little while? will cost the same as the front end parts basically.

It seems like to much room up front. I think a 33 is a little small imho. I would get the bedsides, then save for bigger tires. Truck looks great though!

i would but im not interested in running 35's. its still a daily driver, 35's would pretty much kill the MPG. im still pulling 18's in the city with it.

well gears, E-fan, superchips, plugs and wires, all regular maintenance, driving habit all add up. when i was stock i was pulling 21 in the city with my 4.0

so ive got about 5 shops looking for the tires for me, best price wins. i'll keep you guys posted on that.

going to build a kayak rack tomorrow for the truck, as im headed a few hours north for the long weekend. should be a blast! (yes ill get tons of pics!!!) (yes of the truck too...) :D
CB Wire has to get run, took off my tonneau as i kinda like it better without, needs a good wash, and i want to cut my front valance, i have a idea with it. off to work, gonna play with photochop and try and add those tires on there for ***** and giggles.

i say do the coils up front and get the wider 33s. the rear is fine with pulled bedsides for now. and even with more space up front, itll look killer with a wide tire. i had those falkens, youll love them.

front suspension is gonna wait a little. its on my to do list right above bedsides at the bottom.

the falkens in 33x12.5 came back at $1300 for the set.

need to find a buyer for my BFG's before i go with that. dont wanna drain my savings account.

also looking at width (what i want) the BFG's are a wider tread then the falken... hmm now im not so keen on an extra $200 for those tires.

Why get rid of the BFG's and then add suspension later and have to get new tires again? Your tires look like they have plenty of tread left. Just leave them on until you get a suspension lift then get tires. And if the skinny tire looks that bad then take off your fiberglass fenders for now.

New tires now and then later seems like a waste to me.

/my opinion

i wont be running a tire larger then a 33x12.5. my hubs cant take more then that without risk of breaking, and i wouldnt bother even if i could. 33x12.5 is the size im going to finish with, suspension upgraded or not.

also im not putting the tires on to fill my fenders, they fill it plenty already. widening for track width, appearance and better grip.

tires, wider rear axle, maybe bumper and thats where it will stay over the winter. next year im going to look at suspension more. sales are so far slow... which means i dont have the coin to throw around.

not ditching the tires for tread, they are 3 months old. they just dont work with the truck, and im building this mainly because i want to drive a budget baja truck for a daily driver. yes the money lost sucks, and ill regret not going 12 wide from the start, but hey... ya live ya learn. it only money lol

thanks for your thoughts, i like hearing what you guys think!
