so i went wheeling last weekend... im guessing i hold the record for the worst wheeling trip ever lol. I lost 4wd in about ten minutes and got stuck, destroyed the passenger side hub. i had to get towed back to camp by a side by side, but i did get to test the truck out on some rocks for 10 minutes so i cant wait to do it again.

the camp site was on top of a hill and to get to the actuall park you had to go down the hill in to a creek bed and then up another big hill. i made it past the rock garden which was down the first hill and into the creek. i brought my quad with too so i did most of my exploring with that.
i have more pictures and videos but they are on my gopro so i will upload those in a few days.
Right when we where packing up to leave one of the guys with the big tube buggies came over and said he had to open seats so we got to ride in that. he showed us around the park and brought us to "the wall" where we got to see some buggies go up some crazy stuff.
i also picked these up today.

d44 and ford 9" out of a 79 f150. i have the shaft and every thing thats missing in the picture too. he also gave me 8 locking hubs with it.
the best part about this deal is that i got it for 100 bucks!
so i am now tearing apart the d44 to cut 6 inches off of it and do 4:56 gears maybe arb air locker if i have the money, chromoly shafts and all new seals and bearings. so far i think i will be looking at 4" eb coils for lift height.
Now to round up some parts!!

im seriously considering it, it would be alot cheaper since i wouldnt have to buy shafts right away, i wouldnt have to cut measure and go through all that with my 9" also.
Got my axle stripped down tonight.

also started another project a couple nights ago...

i am sanding down my "rust" aka surface rust and bedlining it.
i also started sandblasting some parts and getting them painted.

so im up to a 2000 dollar shopping cart on bronco graveyard now
i need to now what gears to run ive got 4:57 for a 9" rear end. do i need to find 4:57 for the d44 or do i need 4:56 because of my transfer case? i also have a 5:43 rear end for a 9 inch. im not sure what to go with yet, but i plan to run 37" military tires so im thinking maybe 5:43?

I'd run 5.13 gears front and rear with 37s.

Haha I know how the big expenses go.. I have axles from a 78 f250 (hp d44 front and d60 rear) that I am gathering parts for to rebuild them and toss under my ranger. I have made many purchases from bronco graveyard. Gonna look good on the 37's. I think I'm gonna rock 37's as well but with some goodyear mtr kevlars on some 17" methods.
