Dana60, 5.4L DOHC, 4r100
This is where it all comes together. So over the last year almost I have been collecting parts, swapping stuff, changing stuff, well you all know. This project thread is where it all comes together and where it will finish.
One of my projects...
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...v-project.html
meets another project
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...na60-swap.html
plus full front cage/tube frame...
In the next week I will be heading down to NicksterSVT's to build the front frame, mount the 5.4L, cage the motor, mount the Dana 60 and head home in a week. :)
Of course the engine will need to come back out and get rebuilt but there is plenty of time for that.
Some reminder of specs
2000 5.4L 4v
4R100 Transmission
1356M Transfercase
1978 Ford Dana 60
Few pictures, just collecting everything in piles to load up end of next week.
200 feet of 1.75" OD .120" wall 1020 DOM, 20 feet of flat strap, 20 feet of 4" flat strap
Pile of tools/parts/materials
Assuming the drive goes well most of this will be installed by the 20th. That is my goal.
I am doing the whole front frame because that will gain me a great deal of extra room that i would like to have as well as give me great things to build off of.
The D60 high steer is 2" high than the D44, in order to lower the truck and keep the up travel this is what i have to do. Should be pretty cool and I will take a ton of pictures... I promise...
Now everyone knows why I have been waiting... :)

Sounds good to me. When it's all said and done, it would be interesting to figure out how much it weighs.
