Wouldn't you want a "low" stall? Isn't that going to make it bad for offroading? Just curious as I do not know much about it

idk where u got the spark plug cover seals or an idler arm, but i know i sure didnt buy them! lol
let me edit that for you beard...
IAC valve
high stall converter
valve cover grommets that were missing
valve body kits
shift kits(yes plural)
brand new starter
brand new alternator(high amp)
idler pulley
belt tensioner and pulley
rear main seal and cover gasket(the complete engine gasket set didnt come with this)
one can of engine paint(lol)

with an engine setup like this, you want a high stall... higher stall speeds gets the engine to the power curve before it starts pulling so you have hp and tq while trying to climb and such...

That makes sense. I was thinking the same as the other guy but after reading that it all makes sense.Keep up the good work and hurry up I want to see this thing on the trails.lol

Makes since. Will it be a easy stall? Guess I am used to the Drag racing crowd and thinking its going to do a wheelie when it hits its RPM lol

the stall isnt going to prohibit low rpm pulling... all a stall converter does is allow you to rev the engine(just like feathering a clutch) before FULL engagement. the only time you will even notice this stall is under a moderate load. it wont be anything to hinder normal driving.
edit: most vehicles have some type of stall from the factory. the rangers have a stall up to 2700 rpms from the factory.

Yeah I understand how it works, it just doesn't seem like something I would want in that application. It seems like it would create a lot of excess heat and low speeds. However I have never had an aftermarket torque converter or anything modified that much so who am I to talk?! lol
Obviously you know what you're doing, I'm sure it will work awesome when it is all together!
edit: It makes more sense as I think about it more, I am just used to hearing high stall in drag racing talk.

I've wheeled (crawled) with high stall "converter'd" vehicles before and seen / felt how they re-act. Personaly i would stay away from them for trail riding / crawling but thats just me.
Now for hill climbs, sand and around town, it will be a blast!
Either way, as long as it isnt to drastic, it probably wont be an issue.

I thought he said a 3200 stall, i cant remember. I dont think it will be noticeable at all. Also we dont have a stock one, the one we had was trashed. Like I said though, if it doesnt work no biggie, ill just change it out. At this point who really cares if trying something that costs 300 bucks doesnt work at least I can say we tried it!

i think i have wasted enough breath, or i guess i should say, finger pressure, on this... i dont think if i even explained it more than i have, anyone will understand... no excess heat, no crappy trail riding, no negative effects whatsoever... why doubt what im doing? have i ever let any of you down? i know it sounds pretty big headed, but i have done this once or twice.. let me do my thing, u will be impressed...
