it looks like that trans was repaired before it broke apart

 

it was repaired, had a hard time diagnosing the problem, the first of 3 driveshafts caused the output shaft in the trans to bend... the third driveshaft finished it off...

 

I balance semi tires with golf ***** where I work all the time. bb's would work!

he was thinking tires, there is a ceramic bb packet you can buy to put in your tires that are running bead locks and finds the spots that need to be balanced.

 

I know but we were not talking about tires. lol

I have used ceramic BBs, powder, and plastic pellet gun bbs, all work but the ceramic was by farthe best.

 

lol yeah I mean I was jokeing earlier about balancing the driveshaft with BB's but..

 

well my driveshaft flange didnt ship until today, but this 4 day weekend id like to finish up several things. I also want to put in an order to Ford for a few other items. Next week its going on the scale so I can get the right spring rates and recharge the nitrogen in the shocks. I cant wait for it to finally sit at the right height!

ordered the front driveshaft off ebay. another 04-10 Superduty Front shaft.

I also ordered the rear springs 150 tender and 200 mains. Hopefully that lowers it down though I am a bit concerned because I mis measured the amount of droop i wanted in the shocks. all well, if it doesnt work I will just switch a few things around for now and it will be fine.

The truck leaves for Nicks on the 17th! Last trip!

 

You said in another thread the truck was weighed with the bedsides. Did you get any pics?

 

I took a picture when it was in the corner of the shop a few weeks ago. Its in the center of the shop now. I should get some new pictures.

most are probably tired of the small updates but in 1 week it will be back at NicksterSVTs shop and finally getting the last things it needs to run. Then it will be debug time. I will get some newer pictures this week.

Driveshafts will be done Monday or Tuesday, the rear shocks are charged, new King Springs are installed, it is sitting close to level. Finished mounting the radiator, got radiator hoses on, worked on my shifters some, dialed in my rear links (had some play), also ordered 1350 yokes for the Dana 60s and front output on the 205. Hoping to get all that done by Thursday.

I understand. Getting the truck running is a little more important than the color of the headlights.
