I keep thinking I need to tie it into the frame to make the cab and frame more of one piece. What are your thoughts on that?
How does the existing tube attach to the body/frame? I would hole-saw the body and attach your existing tube to the frame, then run a tube from behind the seat in-between where the harness' wraps around to the back of the cab into the top of the frame as well.

Right now its just welded to a plate and that plate is welded to the frame. I will cut a hole and run the mount like you mention. Sounds like a plan to me.

Thanks

I may start working on it again this week. I finally got the radio noise caps that bolt on the back of the heads so I can finally put that transmission back in.

I'm kind of excited tonight, I was able to get that transmission, 203/205 doubler all installed in 1 piece in the truck. Now just to tighten all of the bolts up and I can finally measure for a driveshaft, mount up some wiring and start planning the exhaust.

Thanks guys. It is getting there. Its back on its tires now. Starter is installed and buttoning up the transmission mounts. I ran into a little glitch turning the engine over, something is catching or hitting on the oil pan. I think I may have dented the oil pan just enough from the pan hard which is causing the end of the rod to hit the pan. I will have to pull it off to check it out. I may have to figure out how to mount some air bumps in the front before I even drive it.

Always another thing to figure out. It'll be worth it in the end though, good luck with that starting glitch.
