The DANGER MANGER

We started with a 1998 Mazda B4000 4x4, Im not a fan of the mazda logo and the front headlights so we started the transformation of the mazda into a ranger and dubbed this project the "DANGER MANGER"

Stock

Fender removed for fitment of a fiberglass replacement

another shot

Trimmed the inner fender back about 7" I will be bending and TIG'n some aluminum replacements in the future

Out of the box fitment from Perry's Fab'N'Fiber was pretty good in my opinion

Passenger side

some used 33" Baja Claws on steel street lok rims

I say big improvement

We will be finishing the rear with glass over the weekend. Front and rear prerunner bumpers to follow,
bed cage to to handle longer shocks, chevy 63" spring under swap to an explorer 8.8 31 spline rear axle with disc brakes, shackle reversal with Belltech shackles, (I am hoping to net around 16" of travel in the rear)
I will be adding a Blu Star HID kit to a set of newer clear ranger headlights
and O ya Going to drop in a 5.0ltr...... That'll make it boogy

Starting on the rear box sides required drilling all the spot welds off the top rail.

fender bender from the previous owner

getting the old box skin off

pile of parts

trimming the corner of the box required for clearance

trimmed up

nice fit with the taper in rear of the box sides

small difference from stock

good fit

stock for now. NEAR Future plans include, rear budget baja leaf pack that we are developing. Price point should be approx $400 for a pair with poly bushings Lift heights from 1.5" to 4" with a shackle inversion should net around 16" travel.
Also we are developing a coilover conversion with uniball UCA's and an extended coil tower. but shhhhh thats supposed to be a secret.

Since the seats are green I would say green gauges. Are the gauges available for purchase or are they custom?

I think the gauge needles would look cool black. I mean it has white backing so I'm sure you would have no problem seeing them. plus it would be kinda different. Go along with your theme/ company logos. White, green and black. Your set. Just a though.
