Molding tape. And it is super secure. I was surprised.

This unit is a Galaxy Tab A7, which is actually fairly small compared to most other tablets

Well it sure fits like a glove. I remember seeing a couple of guys on youtube stick an ipad mini into the dash of a subaru. The subaru in question was actually produced long before the ipad, funny enough.

I love the way it fits. Almost looks factory at a glance.

And I really want 15s, but pioneer doesn't make them. Sometimes it kills me that I'm so particular about having everything the same brand and not mismatched.

lol. It's pretty hilarious listening to the video and watching the bananas in your signature dance around.

At that time, yes. When I'm driving down the road, I can hot spot off my phone or play my downloaded music.

Well thanks to my new setup I have, it is time for a bigger alternator. Sadly I've needed one for a while now, but have held off. So I bit the bullet and ordered a 250 amp from Motor City Reman- odd name since everything is new. Anyways, got it in and all installed, but ran into a n issue. They gave me a stock sized pulley and it doesn't spin fast enough to put out proper amperage. Called the company and they're sending me a 1.9" pulley to replace the 2.385" one they gave me in the first place. Anyways, here's some pictures of the new vs. old. New one has the silver pulley.

Old one

New one

Best thing I like about the new alternator is that they gave me the option of getting a heavy duty regulator and rectifier giving me a much bigger positive post on the back of it. I will update again when the new pulley shoes up and gets installed.

List for this dude was over $300. I got a couple promo codes and got the price dropped to about $255 take that and subtract the $150 that I got back when i just returned my 130 AMP to AutoZone and I walked away only having to pay a little over $100 to upgrade to the 250 AMP.

Now that's a steal. A third of the price and twice the amps.

How can you handle all that bass without getting a headache, though? Like honestly, that would split my ears after ten minutes or less

You get used to it. The lows don't bother me, it's the highs that make my ears ring if it's too loud. I've learned not to "crank" certain songs.

Ah, one of those things. Speaking of which, I've got a speaker vibration I need to fix. Right rear corner of the cab. Might do that tomorrow.

Could also be the factory tar sound deadening coming loose. Had that happen to me a few years ago before I put all my sound deadening in.

True, true. I'll have a look. I've got nothing better to do, lol

EDIT: Well, I took 'em apart and found that I have aftermarket speakers back there too, matching the front. Pioneers. During the install, someone opted to leave the factory speaker plug, but the problem is, it wasn't secured to anything, and thus was vibrating against the speaker itself. I ended up wedging it behind the interior panel on both sides and that stopped the noise.
