Well, got another project somewhat done today! With the help of my girlfriend, I was able to pick up some next to perfect Mountaineer seats. Driver full power, Passenger manual with power lumbar.

Took off the sides and got them black first thing.

Went ahead and put in the center console I got a few weeks ago
https://www.ranger-forums.com/attach...ine=1416797528
Took about all day the time I fixed some minor issues and got it all wired up. Still have to paint the center console black to match and fab my switch panel, along with dye the seats black and I'll be set interior wise for a while.

Really happy about the progress I've been making lately. I think the driver side lumbar pillow/lines has a small leak since the lumbar pillow doesn't stay inflated very long, but that is an issue for another day.

Not much going on this week, only this. Hopefully I'll get to the lift after the new year.

IMO, a very patriotic picture

Where did you get the Edge part done on your fender badge? I have extras I would like to do something like that. And 4.88's are slow with 31's? Da fuq how? Should be roasting those f'ers.

I had the stickers made locally. Same person that redid the EDGE on the bedsides for me. I just had her shrink them down to fit the badge.

You feel like you're going fast until you look down and you're only doing 50. I need to play with my programmer a little too. The firmness of the shifting while accelerating heavily is a little too much. I'm afraid of tearing it up. Once I tweak it, I'll feel safer about seeing what it'll do. Donuts are pretty fun though.

I'm also about to order some bilsteins and i'm going with the stock 4600s for the front, but for the rear F250 shocks, would the stock height, or a set for 2-4" of lift be better? I think the Stock F250 shocks are the right ones, but I'm not quite sure, also, 4600 or 5100 for the rear?

RLong31 Jan 7, 2015 09:47 PM

I've always heard of 5100's.. but I'm not really sure as I haven't researched it much. I would think 2" of lift would work if you are taking out the rear block (I don't think you have one).. you can always remove the AAL if it's too tall.

bravetitan24 Jan 7, 2015 09:50 PM

I bought 5100s for the rear of mine. I have the stock block and no AAL. Not sure how/if the AAL affects the shock's mounting point.

Dewey Jan 7, 2015 10:06 PM

I currently have a read block, but was hoping that making a bastard leaf pack along with an extended shackle to still be able to have 4-5" of lift over stock. I am also adding a set of the James duff traction bars on top as well. I know the f250 shocks are about 4"longer than the stock rear ones are anyways. I'm not quite sure though

Dewey Jan 10, 2015 09:51 PM

Just dropped $350 on shocks. 4600 in front, 5100 in back but F250 length. Hopefully no issues there.

OFFICIALLY down to saving for rims/tires! Nothing else!

(I still need calipers for the cobra swap, but I'm waiting until I get 30% off at work again)

bravetitan24 Jan 10, 2015 10:16 PM

Feels good to spend a bunch of money doesn't it? lol

Dewey Jan 10, 2015 10:20 PM

You would know better than I. Its sad that we got 4 shocks for my dads antique muscle car for half the price of mine.

Lol I'm holding off on going to the bank for ring money for as long as I can. I have no choice but to do it this week though :nervous:

I know how ya feel, the $2800 down payment felt awesome to hold until it was put in my checking account and then drained the very next day.

True, you don't want to be riding on dicks.

Sorry.. I just re-read your thread and had to, lol.

When are you doing the lift/s and getting bigger tires?

That was only the down payment. I'm still making payments too.

I'll be getting rims/tires once I've got the money up. Hopefully March or April at the latest. My original finish date was planned for the first of the year, but we see what happened with that plan. I have decided on fuel rims though. No Dick's

00GreenRanger Jan 11, 2015 07:03 PM

I don't even want to think about ring money for at least another 6-8 years lol

bravetitan24 Jan 11, 2015 07:07 PM

Lol I'm just going to pay cash for mine and get it out of the way. Also means I don't have to pay the taxes on it

00GreenRanger Jan 11, 2015 07:24 PM

Yeah when the time comes I'll definitely pay cash but the ranger is getting built before that happens haha
