Chronicals of Opti's SAS
No more TTB for me, chewed up a new set of tires in like 5,000 miles. out it goes!
plans include: (bold denotes parts i have)
- 79 Dana 44 HP
- 79 coil buckets
- F250/F350 upper shock mounts
- 4" lift coils, 70s
- Stock 79 radius arms
- F-350 steering
- Bilstien 5100 shocks
- TTB rotors, wheel bearings and hubs
- 79 radius arm brackets back cut 22*
- T-bird calipers appropiate banjo bolts
- Brake pads
- TTB extended brake lines
- Remote mount PS cooler
- Bushings (trac bar, radius arm, caster)
- Ball joints
- Spindle bearing kit
- Inner axle seal
- Coil retainer
- Spring clips
- Radius arm nuts
i got my axle today, it came from a 79 F-150 Ranger. Paid $120 for the axle end to end (rotors, calipers, steering, trac bar, coils, etc...), radius arms, radius arm brackets and coil towers. thats $120 for EVERYTHING, cut out and loaded into my F-350. smokin deal if u ask me.

Rxtending your radius arms shoulld affect any ride and handling issues (If I am wrong, tell me lol). IMO even if you are not going to be wheeling it daily, you might as well do things right the first timre. It saves you alot of trouble in the end.
What are you going to do for the rear end? Are you keeping the rear axle and running spacers/adapters?

added more pics from last night, got the axle all torn down. gears look to be in good shape, no play in the bearings and the pinion is nice and tight. the u-joints are like new (still shiney) so im leaving them go. ordered some more parts (brake calipers, brake pads, bushings, spindle bearings, inner axle seals). gunna clean some more **** up today and get organized a little more.
