Yeah... I'm going to be cleaning off the frame on the 99 when I tear into... nothing like 9 years of rust between the UP and Wisconsin to make a fun project. Granted the UP isn't bad. They use all sand up there because with the shear amount of snow they get they don't waste money on salt.

Anyway, I digress. The projects looking great D. Make sure to keep us posted. I'm really looking forward to the color (at least knowing what it is).

Good progress D. I REALLY want your white interior pieces. I would trade you my professionally painted blue pieces, but I have power junk.

Nice D.

Hi D., looks like your coming along very well. Are you planning on using a roll cage? Oh I decided to take your advice and search for an older model ranger to "fix up". I didn't want to ruin this:

This truck aint been washed or waxed since august of 2006 and I live on a dirt road. Plus this looks too good to do any more mods to it. I thought about an 87 Ranger but it wasn't working for me. The 94 Stepside looked really good until I saw the frame. That truck went to the crusher. What model would you recomend?

If you want a truck to drop a good engine into, and be a fun fixer upper.. look for a late 80's.. like an 88' ranger.. Take a look at this, its actually the truck I'm selling right now, someone is about to pay 500 cash for it here.. but it will give you an idea of a fantastic work truck/play truck.. And PLENTY of room in the engine bay to work with, along with no fancy dancy electrical **** to worry about.

Ahh sorry D, wasnt too clear.. the truck is already sold.. just giving him a picture.. should have taken it out of this spot though!

Sorta half wish you coudl stick to that blue color on the truck, minus having all those nasty cracks all over the place.. I think we can owe it to that nasty quick paint job some of these trucks get at the factory :-(

D i just spent a good hour or so reading this thread.... the truck looks like its coming along nicely!

after reading about everything, i have a question.... is there anything original still untouched in the truck? lol. seems like you've either ripped apart or replaced or built stronger just about every inch of that truck so far.

and if you paint the truck that color it's going to be awesome, lol.

Put the bed on tonight. Truck is looking GREAT!

Now he just needs to paint it pink, add a rubber ducky, and he'll be ready to show young punks they should think before they wager....
