I think you are right on the flat back, what about four inches inside the bed ?
Can you do aluminum ?
Aluminum would make it a little lighter.
But if you do decide to make a Tool Box TailGate for a Steppiee please let me know.
Great job on the truck and the welding on the tailgate.

So some questions because I'm too lazy to go looking. What sort of coilovers you using and have you had any issues with them?
Also, what size nozzle did you have to run on your paint gun with the plasti dip? You just have a cheap gun? I'd assume the plasti dip would gunk up a gun fairly well. Thinking I'll do that to mine once I start tearing into it.

I have fox CO's, and have worked as good as I could need. The plasti dip when you buy it in sprayable gallons is thinned out for spraying. It doesn't really clog at all. And when yer done just put some thinner through it like you would clean after real paint and your good. I just have the one that came in there kit, which is really just a electric wagner type paint/stain sprayer.

haha no, but I havn't made any moves yet motor wise. I called a local builder on my 302-327 quote like a month+ ago and never heard back. so I've just been sitting on the idea so far. So really I'm starting to just think of all the other options even more. Once we finally have a few days of no snow/rain i'll try and get a little more work done on it. lately it's been just my f250 and a new motorcycle project.

Well little update: Got the cab off the ranger and now I can start cleaning up the frame and plating, adding cross-members etc. Then Its time to get the motor in the works while I'm doing that. I think I've narrowed it down to I'm going to stroke the motor I have and go from there. I'm going to build it and install it on the frame without the cab and then cut the cab to fit where needed. I will be setting the engine back a little bit for weight, and also to help the headers clear my shock hoops etc. Its racecar, so I'll be making things fit but cutting and welding. Also a little update on garage status as seen in pics
Cab is officially off the ranger. with the help of the engine hoist(through the driver window), a few well placed chains and hooks in the cab, and a good buddy :)
Added a few goodies in the garage as well
compressing large amounts of air is good.
and with it.. every shop needs a pneumatic can crusher
Also have this badboy I have to get installed soon. Have all the exhaust parts, just need to get my gasline ran from my basement into the garage.
