That could've been real bad. Looking good though.

Do you have lockers?

well long time i dont update this thread.

did a few things to the truck not much, but i had a rear camera isntalled (couldnt see the cars behind me when i parked, also i put the camera that high as i needed it to be high enought for it not getting sunk in deep mud holes.

then i decided to get the sliders 3" farther out to protect a lil more the doors for a trip i made to the mountain to protect a little more the doors, althought the bed didnt had the same luck...

then because of a past trip that i busted one of the fenders i decided to improvise a snorkel to make the trip i was going to do back in july, so its a 3" intake all the way back to the rear of the cab with a k&n fliter, dam it sounds soooooo sweet! (it was borrowed just for the trip though)

the tube going up the frame was invisible from the inside of the truck, it didnt bother me at all, so i guess im gona do the same path but using aluminized tubing hopefully and somehow making it work around the rollcage.

also i got some 38,5" boggers mid life borrowed to do the trip.

so for the trip damage recount:
1. alternator got full of mud the first day ( mile 2 of 26 miles of trails) (still had the locker working though! luckly! )
2. no alternator = no winch so i had to have a heavy foot to take the truc up those steep muddy hills
3. drivers side engine mount almost ripped the whole frame off!

4. going down a hole there was this big tree root that stopped the truck when the passenger tire hit it that made the leaf support almost snap off (around mile 10 of the trip :S

5. turbos is damaged 250$ the kit to fix it....
6. both rear stop lights busted (again but this time for good) and the rear driver fender hot a heavy hit, cant upload the vid from the moment i hit the tree..)

but no worries bout the rear bed....
7. small hit on the front bumper

i smashed straight up a tree going around 15mph the truck bounced 9 feet back after hitting the tree, wait 2 seconds, shift 2nd gear in and kept driving, a few hammer hits and perfect again the bumper
8. somehow water got mixed with the oil... so imagine how things are looking....

Just cant love diesels more.... i did HAVE to drive HARD to be able to take the truck out of the mountain without winch nore mud chains.
insdide of the truck:

once outside the trail truck started to over heat, without the alternator there was no way to disengade the 4low (one of my oryects to take of the electronic transfer........) so this was my ride home

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...53814046_n.jpg

this is how my intercooler was looking after the trip,

afet 2 hours of work...

and this is how the trucks looking right now

gona set up the aitr tank on that cross member,

and now im gona change front leaf spring mount, gona cnc cut something pout that looks nice, gonna drop the rear suports for the leafs 5 " to get rid of those lift blocs . and im gona do everything bolt on hopefully for when i want to get rear ster in it be easier to take apart the rear. also im starting the rear bed, i want to do something that can take some abuse yet be funcional, so im thinging bout putting a drawer under the bed floor, and im gona hydro assist the steering as its getting pretty hard on the mud and turning between the trees...

so hopefully i can get the truck running in 2 months tops so well se how it turns up! i expect to be updating this thread more often to keep me motivated to be working and to get some advise on a few things , but that will be down the road when i get there. now i just need to get some $$$.

and it will see better days! im thinking about building another bumper actually also, but this time aluminium and with my shop banner cnc cut in it. my plan is to eventually get the truck bullet proof for my type of trips, so need a tought bed to handle all the trees it WILL hit eventually, add some led lights, then the front suspension im gonna make the supports ALOT stronger to handle a few hits, and the rear im gonna do everything bolt on to be able to remove it easier for when i can get some 10k to add the rear stear (and everything that it has to go ith it lol...).

also thinking about removing the fan clutch and installing a hydraulic fan now that im gonna add the hydro assit on the front.

also my plan is to paint the whole truck, and take out most if not all the scratches on the cab, make it look like a NICE truck again and make it stop looking as a weeekend warrior only (still the idea is to be able to take the truck and be able to wheel it harder )

yeah i was really worried on the mountain on how i was gonna take the truck out, as i had the engine with one of the mounts almost ripped, and the leaf support with just a bead of weld on, no winch and no mud chains, and i had to drive it hard to be able to get out. still trying to get the link on the vid were i smashed the bed

then again im changint things up.... but going good

rear cross member is ready, still need some tabs for the cargo drawer under the bed of the truck. also the exhaust is off, going for a single stack up the passenger side

also added the air tank for the air horn to work again!. the cross member is bolted and on the outside on the same 5 bolts is gonna go the slider box for the leafs, watching seed60´s truck i started to like them alot and studing a lil on them and decided to try them front and rear, and im gonna go get em cnc cut and hoping if it works ok sell em but thats another storyh..

changing the shock placment both to the center of the axle. hoping this week to go and get the drawing made to cut the parts to make the boxes

finally got my air compressor from the shop back so i can start working faster....

for now got the rear cross member ready and started making the slider box bases bolted on the same bolts as the cross member (just in case i decide to do shackles later if the slider box doesent work for me.. and to be able to tear down easier later on when i link the rear)

still missing alot there but hopefully i can get the truck sitting on its own (rear) for next week or as soon as i get the slider box made (gona get them cnc cut on a shop local)

just teasing were i expect to get my leafs when finished withouf the lift blocks on the rear

my plan is to get the truck out of the shop for octuber to pass the inspeccions (but i doubt it ALOT) and then keep working the truck and do some other changes on the front suspension and finish the cage and the rear bed

still in progress not sure if im gona use the stock front hangers or build new ones anyway the front leavs are going there, there still need to go alot of bracing on that plate, its 1/4"

(bolts are mock up everything is going grae 8)

measuring were to set up the slider (not done also and the other side is not bent yet) right there the leaf is at 54,5" and its leangth is 58" the top of the slider is at 59" so i guess there is were it should go ( right???)

those plates the part going under the frame got a couple tubes welded to each other to make a single thing. and it still need work done.

were the leafs "should" go, im hoping the rear is gonna flex quite a bit lets see if ive gonna have to limit it or not
