Finally got another 04 4x4
Well after wrecking mine and going threw 2 other vehicles I've decided to go back to a Ranger. I bought a 2004 4.0l SOHC 5 speed. Came with a 4 inch lift and 33 fierce attitude mud tires. Rockford Fosgate 6x8s up front and 6x9s in the rear. A Kenwood single din head unit.
So my first mod that came in the mail the second day I had the truck was some 06+ mirrors.
After that I decided to get a flowmaster 40 series muffler. Really like it. Not to loud but still has a tone to it.
So next was rims and tires I guess.
I bought some mickey thompson classics for 300 bucks with 35" bfg km mud terrains on them. Really like them but the 35's are shot. Can't even balance them.
So I found a guy who is trading me for some 31's in the morning. They are just to get me by till pay day. On payday I'm ordering some 35x12.5x15 general grabbers. Sears carries them for 781 for all 4. Once those come in I'll be ordering a 3" body lift so they will fit. For the mean time I'm just going to trim the bumper.
So here's my plans for the truck as of now.
ford 8.8 with disc brakes
rear electronic locker
Custom headache rack (already started)
Underdrive kit (need help finding one)
Eaton supercharger (far off still)
black out headlights
Led tails
5k HIDs
more to come...

Thanks guys and no idea on the owner. I know it was a girl is all. ANd I just got a set of 31's I traded for those 35s they are like new I think it was pretty good trade. I'm going to get a body lift ordered and probably order some 35's around tax time. If I have the money I'll get bfg Mt or maybe a mickey thompson mtz I'll decide when it's time.

So. Duratracs are just as bad. They're even softer. And the sidewall is **** on them.
All terrains, only two I'll run anymore are falkens and toyos.
Mt, bfg are crap and mickeys are soft. Will wear real fast. Do some research. Baffles me how many people don't research **** they buy. I mean, if you want a mediocre lerfoing tire. That wears fast, go ahead get the mickey mtz.

What reviews were you reading? Sure they don't have stiff sidewalls.. they are C load tires. If you puncture a sidewall.. use your tire insurance.. thats why you buy it.

BFG MT KM2 are good. Looks like you're the one who needs to do some research as the reviews on the KM2's are good everywhere. I will however agree with the duratracs being meh

I love my bfg ats, and as long as you balance them and rotate them periodically they last forever. I've had two sets and I also use them off road and haven't had any problems. Just my 2 cents.

I don't see anyone with blue plastidip dipped wheels. So I guess everyone can be trusted lol.
All I know is I've had bfg at's (factory tires ony LII) and I've had km2's. They don't last when actually used. Chunked to hell in less than a year y Falken all terrains I used for aot longer, and they're fine. My hankook MT's chunk a little bit, but nowhere near the same as bfg.
Plus both these tires performed worlds better than the BMG's
But hey, what would I know. I've only run them hard. Most of y'all are pavement princess so I'm sure they do fine.

You can't run a body lifted IFS truck "hard" therefore I call bullshit. If either of my two red trucks were hack jobs, I'd also consider going "hard" and driving fast through mud, but that's for children on FRF to do and accelerate the rotting of their trucks.
Please post again once your SAS is done then maybe you'll actually be going "hard" lol
EDIT: If mods want to delete the off topic stuff, go for it. I just realized this was in the project log section, not a photography section. Sorry Andrew!
