32v DOHC 4.6 project

Well, its not going in the truck, but my grand marquis is getting some miles on it, so I figured its about time to swap the engine. I have been doing some research and the only thing im gonna have to fight with is the PATS... Well... I hope thats all!!! Anywho, I dont have the new drivetrain yet, but hopefully within a week or two, it will be here(I have to wait for the guy to take it out of the car) and I can start doing some work on it. The motor is out of a 97, so it isnt supercharged, but hey, its gonna be frickin sweet! Here is the car, in case you all havent seen it:

I have already swapped the 2.73 gear with a 3.27, my own custom exhaust, built the tranny, cam swap, and a couple other things, but it has 191k miles on it and I run the **** out of it!

well... still waiting on the engine to come in.... I have been sick as a dog all week long, so I have had plenty of time to spend my money sitting at home. Ordered some underdrive pulleys, long tube headers, high flow cats, magnaflow mufflers(nothing sounds better on a cobra engine), and a few other things to go with it... Ill post up some pix when this junk starts coming together...

Ford racing has that head and cam package (fr500?) for that engine. Is that on the list?

I never could drop the hammer on my 03 mach1 to do any mods. Its original.

while you are ordering stuff, grab a set of 4.10's. the DOHC motors love lots of gear in the big cars. i put 4.10's in every marauder i touched.

heh, got some off of a member here a little while ago. i have 3.27s in it now(it had 2.73s) and it turns some pretty high rpms with the sohc... Im gonna see how it does with them before i stuff the 410s in

Good luck with the swap. With 3.27's or 3.55's no wonder I see Police Interceptor Crown Vics screaming by.

Are you a member over on Crownvic.net? Just curious, because I can't say that I have seen your car over on that site. But then again I don't go on there quite as much as I used to now that I bought my house.
