I think you forgot to mention your suspension lift in your mods list... but your truck looks soo sick!!!! why haven't you body lift'd it yet (i think you don't have one...) would complement your tires soo much. def. after your regearing.

The one in my profile? Yea it's there under suspension mods. Fabtech 5.5". I'm not going to body lift it. I hate body lifts especially on a 2wd pickup. I want to put on a midtravel kit or long travel kit in the future so a bodylift will be pointless. I'm going to focus on get my truck re-geared and tuned right. Get it paid off and do a manual swap on it. This auto is killing me such a POS.

I know this post is a little late now, but where did you get that gauge pod from? I so want one of those!

New Project: Cowl Induction Hood.

So you may know who's truck this is and that he sold it but I have always loved his hood. Well he left his process on his website and I'm going to research this and tackle the task of adapting the 93-97 ranger cowl scoop to an 04+ hood. Here's the link of what I'm talking about.

Hood Scoop Project

Or I found this hood from a member on here. I could mod it to fit the 04+ grills.

Yeah He says I can just get the Cowl Hood as a scoop and not the whole hood. I don't really like the idea of getting 2 new hoods and chopping up one, they can be expensive. I may just get the one for 01-03 and mod it and try to make it more functional.

Update on Cowl Hood Project

Well I got the cowl scoop and now need to get a new hood. Here's what the project going to consist of:

-Fiberglass Fenders from Roach! Hannamen 5" Bulge.
-Street Scene Cal-Vu Mirrors with heated glass and rear turn signal
-Front grill outer trim will be painted to match my truck while the inner piece will be replaced with the carriage works grill.
-Custom 04+ Hood with 3" rise cowl scoop molded to it.
-Doors will be repainted and dings will be fixed.

(Later this year or first of next year-Custom tube bumper will be made to hold 4 Hella 4000 Lights.) Stay tuned I hope to have this done by the beginning of Nov.

Cant wait to see it with the fenders. You gonna paint them before you put them on or leave them white like 90% of the people.

Your truck looks awesome love what you have done with it
Thats also because yours is a 4x4 and his is a 2x4. 2x4 lifts are cheap and easy to do. 4x4 is more complicated....much more drop brackets involved...

Update...

I got the fenders in yesterday, took the fenders, and hood up to get prepped for paint. I'm going to have the body shop do the hood scoop and get it all nice. They should be ready by next week and I'll have my truck dropped off at the shop to get everything installed and painted. So Roach I'm going to be part of the small group of people who paint their fiberglass parts! I can't stand having them not painted. And for all you wondering why I have 5" fiberglass fenders well everything is happening for a reason, next summer a new suspension will be in order for my Ranger.

Time to get my Carrige works grill on now!

Update Pics...

Here is a compare shot of my new Street scene mirrors and the 06+ mirrors. I like the look of the street scene ones better. My street scene mirros have the red LED turn signal and heated glass. Got the grill on and just need to adjust it a little more. Next week it will be in getting all painted with the new hood and fenders!

well its been a while since i looked at this, and i really shouldn't have haha, i think your truck is one of my favs here. im not going to lie though, i like the chrome grille better :P

couple questions though!
i just got a low pro toolbox and want to paint it black, did you use paint or bedliner? also what'd you do for prep?

also i want to get a bumper from an 01-03 edge (or whichever year had the round fogs like yours) but i have a front hitch that comes out the valance opening, do you know if that opening is in the same spot still?

i forget everything else for now haha, all i know is you made me really want to add LEDs to my OHC (i dont think my lights work cos of that stupid copper thing being all messed up, and im short one bulb holder) but too bad i just placed an order with superbrights yesterday. and i really want a scangage too now... well, sick truck! keep the work comin!

Yeah the chrome grill was cool and I liked it but I want everything to be painted to match and it will look cleaner. As far as the valance openings it will be the same. And just a hint in the next couple of months im getting a new tube bumper so my 01-03 bumper will be up for grabs! For painting the low pro toolbox all i did to prep it was take some accetone to it and scrubbed it down. It might be better to use industrial aircraft remover.
