Get Out and Explore!

Hey guys, I figured I should make a thread for my explorer since I bought some things for it.

Pretty Clean base to start with, a little rust on the doors and here and there, but nothing to bad.

4.0 sohc
126k miles
Everything is stock minus radio.
Big folder full of maintenance records.
Power everything, best vehicle i've ever bought actually!

First thing I added was a dog barrier, I got a second dog this christmas and wanted a way to keep them separated in the back. Found it on craigstlist for $25 and its a ford part so it fits like a dream.

Jade wanted to model for me too :)

I bought a few maintenance things to take care of right away but here are the plans that come into my head as I write this:

Crank T-bars
replace saggy leafs with 4'' superlift leafs
31 or 32'' tires depending how much room I have.
15x8 rims for a little better stance
Hid's or at least replace bulbs with silverstars
Power inverter in the back.
Probably end up with a roof rack for more space

Pretty simple stuff right now not going to go to crazy with it. Main reason I have it is for towing the boat to the lake(5 seats vs 2 in ranger) and for camping (a lot more interior room)

I should of bought this instead of my ranger back in the day!

I'm tempted all the time to buy a V8 Expo and swap power plants. I also dream of a 01-03 Ranger front clip made to fit on an Expo

I love built Explorers

Heres some inspiration for the expo. also you can see the sticker on the back: Get out and explore

I'm going to making a sticker like that but will be a little different :)

Started using the truck for what I wanted, exploring.

loaded up the dogs and took the sled on the river. Went a total of 4.3 miles and averaged 6 mph with the two dogs.

scared up a bunch of deer and had fun, lots of tight trails and drop offs too

Starting to sort out some storage options for the truck, I want to keep the back pretty simple for the room for the dogs/so i can put something large back there if needed.

picked up a box the other day, can stack 2 high and theres a lot of different options for it in the back seat. fits pretty well.

I'll probably end up making a drawer system for the floor just like this.
