Almost. Blew the head gaskets again, valve covers were leaking, servos were going out in 1st 2nd and reverse, and the axles were toast. Just needed a lot of work. Plus I wanted a 4 door and obd2

Starting to get there... Dropped it off at the frame shop last night.-

Also took the ol lady shootin for the first time

It rained and was too cold to paint the Frame on D, so hopefully tonight after work I can get some paint on it and start putting it all Back together.-

To do list:
1. Swap interior
2. Rebuild axles
3. Replace the shock cans
4. Install the Powertrain
5. Fix dents and paint it.-

Lot of work left to do...

Spent a little time while taking a break on the SD on this. We had some left over chassis black, so dad painted the frame and axles to get everything looking better. Also found out the steering rod on the 94 frame is too short and has a different fitting than the 01. So now I am going to try the 01 first, if that doesn't work, I'll cut a little out of the 01 and weld it to the 94 shaft.-

I know this is could lead to a weak link, so I am hoping you guys can give suggestions on how to properly do this while keeping it safe and worry free (and not overly expensive of course)

Just talked to the ol lady. Approval for D-Ranged version 5.0 has been received.-

Plans:
1. Complete the interior swap and rebuild of the axles
2. V8/Auto
3. Debated bobbing the bed, but decided those trails should be left to Sgt Ex
4. New radius arms-
5. Yellow and dark gray paint.-

Actually it went more like, "I'm thinking about making D a wheeler again" she replied with, "---- yeah!!! I'm so excited! Now I have something to drive!"

Yea, I know. She's a keeper

Fuel Injected. I will never install a carb on another vehicle. Some people hate FI, I hate carbs

Thanks dude. I chose the 5.0 only because of adaptability. A friend of mine on TRS is really good with the swap, so he offered to help. It's The closest thing to bolt in as you can get while maintaining cruise control and a/c. It's not as powerful as the original 5.3 or 6.0 would be, but it will be a vast improvement over the exhausted 4.0

Uh, no. It's definitely going back yellow. I doubt it will be ready this year, but planning to have it drivable and wheelable by February of next year. So that means you can get my bumper done this summer

One thing I am undecided on is carpet or vinyl. I HATE the look of vinyl floors, but hate how carpet gets dirty so quickly. I was thinking of going to a black carpet kit (tan is in the truck now, do it will have to come out)-

What do you guys think? I have husky liners. It's the rear section I'm worried about. Do they make a husky liner for the rear portion of the cab?

Still no work yet on D. I have been helping my dad build his newest garage. I also Got the Superduty hood painted. Holy **** this thing has dents. Dad had 4 cans of black. All were almost empty, and one of them was so old it gelled up. So I mixed 3 different black base costs and sprayed the hood. Used some extra clear, and at least matched it close enough. I'll get that installed this weekend along with some work on this.
