i got a 97 ranger with 39k on it. when i got the truck it was in good condition but it needed some work. figured i would make a project thread for all the work ive done and the future mods i plan to do.
the truck the day i got it. had a ugly teal stripe from covering up a company name.

the first mod i did put on some of the harbor freight off road lights with light tabs using the how to on the sight.

did some paint work to it during the week of no power in october. covered up the blue stripe and painted my ugly gray rusty wheels black.

got the pioneer deh-3400u8 head unit for christmas from my borthers. crutchfield is awesome strongly recommend them for any audio.

i hope to add tow hooks, fog light valance, possibly put an angle iron light bar in. and add some new speakers to.

just picture symbol shows up for me not the actual picture. i hope to make a subwoofer enclosure for behind my seat and put in two 10 inch ones. i also hope to install a sliding back window and hopefully convert my windows to power using the how to when it gets closer to the summer. might get a new door because someone did a hit and run on my passenger door in my school parking lot. cop found nothing on video so that leaves me to fix or it take it to a shop .

i got the pics to work not sure why they are not sized right. i got a pair of kenwoods for my doors waiting on my harness from crutchfield since bestbuy didnt give me one.

06+ mirrors and tails.

 

hopefully going to pick up some 08 mirrors tomorrow and do the mod so that they will fit tomorrow.

 

did some updating of the interior. when i got the truck i had solid grey bench that was ripped so i went to a junk yard and got this tan 60/40 from a 96. also recovered the center console with a sheet of plywood and new vinyl.

put in some kenwoods to replace my stock speakers to compliment my new head unit.

put in a mustang dome light thanks to poleo looking to get some leds from buggman soon.

i plan on getting a kick panel that my truck come with. and possibly replacing my carpet with black carpet instead of the rubber one in there.

 

i got buggman leds for all my interior hopefully getting them and installing them tomorrow. the mirrors didnt work out since they were both broken. i will post pics of the install once i get them i.
