The Mistress (Non ranger)

Here is my background project and the reason the Ranger hasn't gotten too much love...
1/18/2011, I got the whole interior cleaned up, all the electrical crap pulled, lines marked for a Fernon chop... Attachment 86233 Attachment 86234 Attachment 86235 Attachment 86236 Attachment 86237 Attachment 86238 I cut the top off and got it sectioned as well. Roof Attachment 86239 Rear cut off for sectioning Attachment 86240 Here you can see the lines I cut at Attachment 86241 The Main Body Attachment 86242 Attachment 86243 The 8" section piece (extra metal if needed) Attachment 86244 The pile of stuff so far... Attachment 86245 Setting the top on. Attachment 86246 Attachment 86247 Attachment 86248 Attachment 86249 It was about 6" too long. Odd because I sectioned 8" out of the main body and then 4" out of the top. So we continued to section the roof 6". Attachment 86250 Attachment 86251 Welded the back roof onto the car. Attachment 86252 Attachment 86253 Attachment 86254 Attachment 86255 Now the front half of the top goes on. Attachment 86256 Attachment 86257 Attachment 86258 Attachment 86259 Attachment 86260 Attachment 86261 Attachment 86262 Rebuilt B pillars, reworked doors, and 7 hours of welding. I got home, took a shower, turned down sex (rare for me), and went to bed early, also rare for me. But the outside is done, minor welding needed to finish, then a bunch of grinding will finish the chop top. Only grabbed a few pics... Attachment 86263 Attachment 86264 Attachment 86265 Attachment 86266Attachment 86267 Well **** happens and plans change. I decided to go all out rat rod. So far what has happened... (pardon the cell pics) Attachment 86268 Attachment 86269 Attachment 86270 Attachment 86271 The rear of the cut popped up n retained the dome that bugs are famous for. Attachment 86272 I marked a few more lines to cut to level the roof out and get ready for the next project area... (secret) Attachment 86273 Attachment 86274 Attachment 86275 Attachment 86276 Attachment 86277 Attachment 86278 And the part I can reveal for the next step... Attachment 86279 Mini hearse titled "Kradle Robber" which will have a real (small, one might say "baby size") coffin in it. |
Nice looks like some good work so far!
gonna be sweet man, nice work!
Looking really nice, but a lot of work and long nights ahead. I don't really dig the coffin chariot rear end in the sketch. I hope you reuse the original rear body lines, and maybe do some hidden flip out rear bench seating and move a v block engine to the front with custom rear axle with fat tires. Would be bad ass imo
i love the idea for this! so unique... as far as i have ever seen
It will be using the original body lines out back. As for a v block, $$$ holds me back. I will be sticking with a flat 4 and bus tranny until funds come up. Then a possible inline 226 will be going in...
in the drawing it looks like a hummer in the back. EWW!
Sweet, I Like It!!!
