I'm putting a full width 8.8 in mine.
I used F-150 coil springs on mine. I have 4" lift springs from that year.
You need one more wheel for a spare. Just get a JY wheel and put a used tire of whatever diameter you're going to on it. I don't know how far away you are, but I have some 35" mud tires (used but still some tread) and you can have one for a spare free if you get out this way. I think I have an extra steel 5x5.5 wheel and you can have that too.
What steering box will you use? I've changed my mind about the full size ford boxes from that era -- too few of them around and finding them or getting rebuilt ones can be a pain. Something with more cores available would be a good choice.

leaf springs?yes that is what i am looking to put under it,why the change?it does not matter if you put two days or if you put twenty years worth of work into a truck,to me if it does not drive right,or make me happy i will tear it apart and make it work the way i want it too, right is right and wrong is junk, that is how it is for me.

Yea hes switching to a d44 so highsteer is now reasonable option. I agree with this. He already has all the link parts. He should buy the D44 TJ brackets and run what he has with highsteer, should fix his problem.

I have run my d44 with high steer for years and never once had death wobble.
Im not hatin on leaf springs, what ever you decide to do Im sure it will work out. Just dont walk away from links for the wrong reason.
