Thinking of taking all the stock leafs off the stock spring and adding them below my Duff main along with the new AAL and pray it matches the other side. I kinda screwed myself by selling my Merkur saturday so now the B2 is my only driveable vehicle until my Ranger gets a new trans. So waiting on a new set of springs aint my best option. Plus Duff wants 500.00 for a new set of these springs....need a better option.
If you were closer man i would give you mine, since im getting rid of them on wednesday for my new deavers. Unless you wanna pay shipping lol. I would gladly ship them to you.

Thanks for the offer Justin! I just dont have the time to wait for them and I bet shipping would be a P.I.T.A.

Im calling a local place when they open at 10am to see what they can do. Cross your fingers.

Good call Zach. I forgot about them only being an hour north of me.

I called and they only offer a Deaver 2" or a SUperlift 3.5"........none of which are in stock and would take 5 days to get.

I called a local spring shop in Toledo and they want 200 per side to cold bend a new set and dont think anything over 2" will hold so they wont give any kind of warranty.

I think Im kinda screwed today.

OK, I pray I made the right choice!!

Duff wanted 536.00 shipped to me with a Monday drop for the same 3" springs I had.

Called a dozen different places and ended up at Summitracing.

I ordered Skyjacker FR34s 2"-4" SOft Rides for 421.00 shipped to my door and I will have them tomorrow.

Skyjacker list these springs for Rangers ,Broncos and F150's. Says on a full size they are good for 2" and on the smaller RBV they are good for 4"

Hopefully with my Belltech shackles they wont be too much lift.Strangely Summit list them as only 1.5-2" lift for RBV.?.

They are referring to using them without blocks when they say 1.5-2".

Brian I am so sorry for all that you have gone through with the BII. I was talking to my dad the other day and he feels really bad about what you have going through also. I never would of thought the rear springs were broke since it still handled well and was not bouncy at all.

Again I feel really bad and if you need anything give me a call.

P.S. did you get placed in a building yet?

Chad, are you kidding me? You have nothing to be sorry about! It all comes with buying a 19 year old truck. You guys gave me a hell of a deal to begin with anyway. Not to mention I live for this crap! If I wasnt out there wrenchin on the truck I would prolly be layin around on the sofa watching Dr Phil and Rachael Ray all day! I sold my Merkur last weekend so I have lots of extra cash and now I can focus on one project at a time.

Truck should be back on the road later today and after I put some miles on it to make sure everything is cool I am going to pull it back inside and start pulling the motor.I got my new oil pan, pump, pick up and cherry picker all ready to go. I was looking at the new pan and I cant believe how far the drain plug is off the bottom of the pan.Even after draining all the oil out there must be at least 3/4 of an inch worth of oil that never drains from pan cuz the plug hole is so high. I bet when I drop this pan that bottom is gonna be full of sludge and the pick up covered. This should take care of its oil pressure problem.

I found out I am number 388 on the list of 875 going to Saline.I guess they are takin 50 a week so I should be back to work in another 4 weeks or so. Iam hoping for another round of buyouts cuz I want out now.

I got my new springs in today.Much better! Skyjacker Softrides 4" lift. I also removed the rear swaybar. The top of the rear fenders pior to new springs were at 35.5" on the passenger side and 35" for the drivers side. After new springs it now is 39" on both sides.New springs even had built in pinion wedges so now my vibration is gone!

Now I need to get some 5" Jeep XJ front coils and replace my new front dual shocks with a set of longer travel Rancho shocks. I will have my new 4.56 gears for my two new axles by the weekend!

Yes Ken I have been a member of ToledoTuners since almost the first day. I used to have a little red 2.3Turbo Ranger that raised hell around town. Most people seen it this way only.....

Are you on there? My girlfriend lives just past the golf course so I am going thru Syl all the time.

OK, new 4" front coils on the way.....4.56 gears on the way......and I also picked up another 8.8,this one is a drum brake 91 Ex rear.So now I have to decide which 8.8 is getting used in the B2 and my drag Ranger project.

OH yeah, bumper is off, hood is off and I started unbolting the motor last nite.Engine will be out shortly so I can get this new oil pan on.

No axle swaps or gears until after.I am just getting front springs in and the oil pan taken care of. If the B2 lives thru the Mounds I will rip into my Ranger next and get going on that truck again because Im gonna need another daily driver before I start the next round of mods on the B2 .

At that time the B2 will get a spring over converted 8.8 with 4.56 gears and a T-Lok,the front is getting 4.56 gears and a Aussie locker and two new custom driveshafts.

Interesting day so far.

Getting a pan off these sux. Pulled radiator, starter, upper intake and dizzy cap. Lifted motor as high as it would go and slid pan out the front side. Found some interesting things. Throttlebody had another small vac port that was uncapped I never caught before, oil pan has been off before, gasket was split and broken in a dozen places and old sealer was gooped everywhere. Inside of pan was spotless so my thoughts of a plugged pickup screen were shot down and now Im praying my problem is in the old pump and that my new pump will fix my ticking issue over 3000 rpm.
I found both motor mounts were never tightened back up after the pan was replaced last time, explains my clunk when I hit the gas.It also looks like one of the trans lines was crushed by the motor mount when the motor was lowered back down last time, how the trans has worked so well like this I have no idea!

And somehow all this time I have never looked at any of the tune up items until now. Cap and rotor are the worst I have ever seen and I cant believe it runs as good as it did! I got all new plugs, cap, rotor and wires for it along with some real aftermarket oil and water gauges.

Got new oil pan,oil pump all done. I put some real gauges in the truck and to my surprize this thing still has 60psi of oil pressure. This must be a reman motor because I find it hard to believe it has 170k on as clean as this motor is inside. Inside of oil pan was spotless also.

I replaced the plugs,wires,cap-n-rotor and replaced the smashed trans line. And UPS man just dropped off my 4.56 gears and drop pitman arm.

Cant wait to hit the Mounds now!
