Yeah all new front end parts, upgrading to the 06+ front end. Those are the initial shots. I didnt get pics of the bumper reinforcement or the bumper isolators yet. Also adding a killer skidplate I got from Joshp from here

Like around the grill. I've been looking for one off a truck factory painted so I don't have to get mine painted.

Its tough to color match from a junkyard, If you buy one off ebay, they are about 56.00 shipped, and color match painting by a body shop I would say will be less than 100.00. I think it is well worth the money spent going that route. You'll save more by priming it and putting it on yourself as well

The one I have on there now is from ebay new. I just painted it myself but its shitty. To paint my hood and grill they want $400.

That isnt too bad of a price being that they would have to strip both parts, prime them, paint them and clear them. If you know how to strip the old paint and prime it all, I am sure it will be cheaper

Only thing that sucks about the newer fronts is the emblems fade. Btw you don't have to strip a hood down to paint just scuff the clear.

Are you cuttin your hood?

Yeah I have seen that about the emblems, so thats a problem for later. I am having the body shop modify the hood, I can't even cut a straight line so I'll have a pro do it

Its more than I thought, I forgot about the bumper reinforcement and isolators so it drove the price up a little

yeah I need to find a body shop around here to repaint mine. I did mine and its pretty good and looks alright but I just had a very hard time matching up the color of the body and giving it the same apperance. Since I painted my stock black xl, it also had a texture to it and I shouldve spent more time on it to make it like glass to match up to the surrounding metal body of the truck. You can kinda see the difference in the light because it brings out the suttle differences.
