Will do. They should arrive sometime today but I gotta work till 10 pm. I might still mount them on the truck tonight though. I just need to hunt down some black lug nuts. I have some chrome ones that will work but I think they'll stand out too much cause the wheels are all black.

 

well, just throwing this out there...gold lugs would look killer against black.

A friend had a blacked out '89 Camaro RS...5% limo tint all around, black car, and he painted his rims black. Threw some gold lug nuts on it, and it actually looked pretty decent

 

Just got off the phone with the freight company. Wheels won't be here till Monday morning. Bummer.

As for lug nuts, if not black, I'm thinking either chrome or maybe red.

Should have went up another size or maybe two. Still looks, ahh, Black though man! I dont think you missed anything but maybe taking off your edge decal.

 

I just spent a few minutes putting tire shine on the new tires. Figured I'd post a better pic of the wheels and how my Ranger is looking these days.

that looks better! Glossy black wheels look so much better with glossy tires IMO...something about the contrast from dull rubber to gloss wheels doesnt work for me lol

Thanks man, I'm really happy with my truck now. I would have gone bigger but I am a poor college student and I couldn't afford the extra $ to go bigger. Plus loss of fuel economy would hurt my pocketbook too.

As for anyone who doesn't like (think it was only one person), thanks for your honesty but you're right its my truck and I think they look SICK.

Once these tires get paid off (I paid for the rims cash), I should be getting an alarm and a toolbox for Christmas.

 

I've been using my bed a lot lately since we've been painting our house so I decided to remove the tonneau cover for now. To stay in line with the truck being blacked out, I painted my edge bed rails black.



I also decided to make an upgrade to my audio system. Should be here by Friday.

Haha. I know what you mean. I've wanted a touch screen for a long time now and this is a good entry unit with plenty of upgrade options. I just got a pay raise plus back pay now that I'm in management so figure I'd treat my self.

 

You think that's expensive, try switching the 5 and the 3. I'm still paying for that damn headunit. Haha

 

Ha yea they can get up there. I think I'm gonna add all the options except satellite radio to this unit over time so it'll probably end up costing a total of around $700. That would be with HD Radio, Navigation, and Bluetooth. I already ordered a reverse camera.

 

They can get expensive but in my opinion they're worth every penny.

 

As you probably could have guessed from my thread in the how to section, my touch screen arrived yesterday.



For some reason the trim doesn't want to snap onto the install kit. I need to pull it out to hook up the ipod cable and reverse camera so I'll mess with it then. Hopefully the camera I ordered off ebay isn't a POS.

 

I'm getting an alarm installed soon. I only have one PATS key, anybody know how much it cost to get another one made/programmed? I need at least 3 keys to get the remote start up and running.

 

Go to walmart they have it the keys there and they program them.

 

I put 31's on my 03 Edge 3.0L and I didnt notice any change in gas mileage. also my speedo is dead on according to my GPS...

 

not gonna work. He has PATS.

honestly dude ur stuck. prolly gonna cost you about 150 n up for key and programming. and about 8 bucks for the third key at Wally world.

How do you like that Kenwood?

 

Can't you just zip tie your one good PATS key inside the steering shroud, and then get the two or three extra keys you need at Walmart?
