Painted Door Handles

I painted my door handles today finally, I was going to do it last week, but i had to replace an A/C Condenser instead.

pretty basic, I used some 320 sandpaper to sand down a little bit, then a scuff pad just cause.
then wiped it down with some Goof-Off (pretty much Paint thinner)
and sprayed it.

I'll be doing my mirrors next weekend hopefully.

Pics!
The stuff i used

The tape job, I'm an overspray ****.

Finsihed product, I don't like the way this one turned out particularly, but i think the handle itself is messed up because the other handles came out perfect.

That stuff after a while will turn your trim to hell. Its a temp product. Paint them.

Its super easy, easier than i thought, i was washing my moms Buick at the same time as doing this, and it only took me like half hour or so to do both doors and tailgate handles. tape them up, sand and scuff, then spray on your first coat. The can says to use 2-3 medium coats, and it'll fully cure in 48 hours.

Update.
Got around to doing the mirrors. I went thru a can and a half of paint. it just kept sucking the paint up and looking like crap.
Only one run and that was on the bottom of the mirror, so i wasn't even worried.

Also, washed it today. when i get some new wax this week or next, i'll give that a shot too.

Painted mirror and handle

Clean! (ish)

I'd keep them black. The door handles are pretty hard to take off by themselves without removing a bunch of stuff inside the door, so to take the handles off and paint them body color doesn't seem like something i really wanted to do.

Flares and bumpers match the rollbar. I Dont like black cars or trim. Fades to easy. One black car in my garage is enough.
