project **major johnson**
ok so i picked up a 92 ranger... it was once a complete truck...
it was bagged and body dropped... then for whatever reason taken apart soo i picked it up for $400 it still had the compressor and tank in it... i will be getting pics upas soon as i can but the truck is currently in front of my friends house on a trailer.. so for the bag setup this is my list so far... it has an air lift compressor and a 5 gallon tank... im going to upgrade to a 12 gallon and 2 viar 100% duty cycle compressors down the road... I like!! Sounds like a build I'd love to get my hands on one day. Looooooooove the aux gauges!! I might have to steal that idea for my chevy.
By the way....would it be possible to post pics of the tow rig? It's yellow and has stacks. Pics please!! |
its the yellow f350 thats on the cervinis.. its my buddy nicks truck... here is a pic i took from cervinis website..

and hey no idea steeling damn it!!!!
hahahaha...took late...it's on the interwebs!!! lol.
i knew i should have left that part out of my thread...
ok so it doesnt look like much but i spent 7 hours today going through the wiring harness removing things i didnt need like the heating wires the dash cluster wires the radio wires and i extended some wires as well so the only things that will be in the engine bay are the things that have to be... everything else will be nicely hidden under the dash...

Sweet truck. You do some great work.
bringn her back from the dead, nice!
hell ya man... aprently she was stripped for almost everything she was worth... no way i could let her goto the scapper...
hell nah, not for what "little work" it needed. its a great starting point for sure. I wish I had a frame like that for my mazda
I would cut the raised floor out of the bed and build one that hugs everything mounted on the frame. That way you could run a tonneau cover and get some use back out of the bed.
Unless theres no room, because that **** is low. Nice. |
Looks good for sure. Goofy to me why they would build a nice Ranger like that and then just rip it apart, down to what's in the first pictures. Oh well. Can't wait to see more progress. Keep us posted.
im not to crazy about not having any storage... but i have an idea for tmyhat because i do goto shows for days at a time and would like to be able to take a bag... stay tuned to see where my ideas go...
thanks again guys... im getting sick so im not as triger happy with the camera... today all the power wires got wired to the power block for the switch box... i made a sheet metal patch for the pasenger side firewall to cover the heater box hole and what not.. i got some pipe clamps for the valve blocks so they will be a lil more secure... and thats about it...
yea its coming along.... just found a big set back today well i guess its not that big... the front frame rails are body dropped 3.5 and it needs to go down another inch atleast the rad supposed doesn't go down far enough for me to get the fenders to line up... so its gunna take a few hours to fix it... not to bad i guess.. just need more gas for the welder going in the am for that...
nice, keep us posted with new pics too
