Russiankid's Ranger build

Figured instead of constantly posting pics I'll just make a thread. Originally this was just going to be a beater where I would do maintenance items and leave it be. I replaced the upper spring mounts, springs, shocks, and other maintenance items.

Then I painted the wheels and buffed it, along with installing a hitch so I can haul some things around.

So as it sat...

That got boring. Ordered a Rough Country 4" suspension lift for it. This is a cheap kit, but so far no issues with installation and the new components are a lot more beefy than the originals. I also have Skyjacker SS braided brake lines to go with this.

Comparison of stock vs new stuff. Will keep posted with more progress. Kind of hard getting this done in one day as I work and only have time before or after work.

Thanks guys. Sadly the truck has been sitting like this for the past week...

6 day work weeks don't really give you anytime to get things done. Hopefully tomorrow I knock out most of the lift.

Back needs to come up and needs an alignment. Otherwise, front end is done!

Everything fit without any problems. It may be a cheap kit but fits perfect.

Little update. I installed the Skyjacker SS braided lines so no more worries of lines being stretched. Drove it down to the shore, for a weekend without issues. Probably around 1k miles on the lift already.

The front end is really stiff. Ordering 30's for it tomorrow.

Thanks! Right now I need it ready for inspection, which means tires and front wheel bearings. All getting done this week/weekend. After that feed my wallet as it will be starving haha.

I will be painting it primer black, I am debating making it chalkboard black. Going to tint out the taillights, lightly tint the front turn signals, and then paint the Ranger emblem a lime green or some bright odd color.

Thanks!

I changed the front wheel bearings today, feels as if the front end is tighter now.

Truck looks good, although why not a more aggressive tire? Not bagging on you, just wondering. I would have atleast went with like a aggressive AT to fit the look of the truck, such as BFG or somthing.

I got a good deal on these tires that is why, that and I do a lot of highway driving along with the off-roading. Another reason it is a 4 cylinder...haha.

I just ordered these.
15x7, 3.75 back spacing, -6 offset.

Got the rear end all buttoned up. Didn't get to paint the frame like I wanted to because I got frustrated with the whole leaf spring bushings. But it sits level now.

Can you say poke?

Also got new closed end lug nuts versus open end so it looks a lot better on gloss black.

Got them mounted on, not the best pic though. I made sure that the wheel weights were on the inside of the wheel vs the outside, so no weights on the outside and balanced perfect!

So I recently put ac in the truck. With the added ac it would run at 220F. So I also went ahead and instIlled a 4.0 radiator into it. now she is running nice and cool at 206f.o
